However, I am surprised you have included Mrs Theresa Kuffour and not her Brother, J.H. Mensah. I would also have included the late Moses Yeboah, whom led the 1967 Counter Coup and killed Kotoka.

The Nzema people loves Kwame Nkruma;the Ewes cherish Rawlings as their idol; the Ashantis adore Kuffour; and Gonjas adore Mahama. But the Brongs hate their own blood, who was even adorned by the Whiteman. The Ashantis are preserving the heritage of Busia. Busia's name has been wiped away from the political scene in Ghana. We have Sankara Circle, Du Bois Memorial Center, Kwame Nkruma University, Tete Quashie Hospital, etc. Where is Busia's name engraved? I have learnt with heavy heart that the NDC won the parliamentary seat at Wenchi, the hometown of Busia. Brong Ahafo people do not care about reputation, that is why Captain Boakye Gyan staged a coup and allowed Rawlings to be the head of the AFRC. God's providence saved Boakye Gyan from Rawlings' hand; he might have been dead by now. Is it cowardice or stupidity? Any guess is right. Also Afari Gyan manipulated the results of the Election to favor Rawlings Party; another blow to Busia. By the way, people are saying that he shit in the courtyard. The Brongs see themselves as inferior, stupid and idiots. At present, all juicy contracts, employments, scholarships are given to the Ewes and Northerners, especially the Gonjas. The government knows that you are stupid, so they have put 419 scam on the whole region. DKM has taken all your money away, yet I know that you will still vote for NDC in 2016 Election. THESE ARE CURSES VISITING YOU FOR REJECTING DR. KWESI ABREFA BUSIA, YOUR OWN BLOOD. This reminds me of the wise saying of Our Lord Jesus Christ, "I came to my own, but my own rejected me". If anything at all,it's the authorities in Ghana who have failed to recognise and reward the people of the BA region for their massive contribution to the nation.
How fair is it for the entire region not to have a single factory or a fair share of the national cake?
Nonetheless,if you travel around the region you find out that by Ghanaian/African standard,they have done well with their towns and villages.
And on voting partern,Brong Ahafo and Western region are the only regions in Ghana which vote on merit unlike the rest of the country including even my own Ashanti region and I don't think it's fair or right to say they're stupid or feel inferior for doing that.They understand democracy and the better it will be fir our country if the rest learn to emulate that.
I admire and respect people of Brong Ahafo for not waiting for government hand outs.It's a neglected region but they don't mone or complain about it and getting on with life as much as possible.
Please my dear friend retract some of your comments it's not fair.
Soon or later a modern stadium will be commissioned in Cape Coast.Central region without a single football club in the Ghanaian top flight league where as Brong Ahafo with three teams has none.Please judge things in that manner rather than blaming submissive people.

My Father is from Dormaa-Ahenkro (BA), and would laugh at your claim that Brongs feel inferior to anyone. Which tribe or ethnic group do Brongs feel inferior? It is certainly not the Asante people. My Father often refers to the Uncle of Asantehene Osei-Tutu (King Obiri Yeboah), having his head off cut off after being defeated in a War with Dormaa. Apparently the Dormaahene rests his feet on a footstool that symbolises this historic incident.
My Father dislikes Dr Busia as he was a young supporter of the CPP, in the 1950's and remembers the violence that occurred involving the National Liberation Movement (NLM). Brongs were considered to be strong supporters of the CPP, and Kumasi was a stronghold of the NLM. Therefore, whenever Brongs travelled to Kumasi they were literally putting their lives in danger of picked out by the notorious 'Stormtroopers' of the NLM.
Let us not forget that it was the CPP, led by Dr Nkrumah who founded the Brong-Ahafo Region and not Dr Busia. Previoiusly, the Brong-Ahafo Region was the Western Province of Ashanti.
When under the rule of the Ashanti's, the Brongs were treated as second-class citizens and therefore, were happy to pledge their allegiance to the British to break away from being ruled by the Asantehene. I do not recall Dr Busia as advocating for the Brongs to have a separate Region. Historically, Brongs have felt their loyalties are with Dr Nkrumah and the CPP, and not Dr Busia whom was linked to theNLM.
The NDC have cleverly claimed that they are the successors of the CPP, and have used this to their advantage in elections.

Please note that Nana Obiri Yeboah was not the 'Asantehene' when Dormaa fought a War with the Asante in the 17th Century. Nana Obiri Yeboah, held the title of 'Kuamsehene'. It was his Nephew, Nana Osei Tutu (who succeeded Nana Obiri Yeboah after his death), who became the first 'Asantehene' in 1701. The Asante were defeated by Dormaa and Nana Obiri Yeboah had his head chopped off. Any Dormaa person who knows their history will confirm that the Dormaahene (Dormaa Chief), has a symbolic footstool that is believed to have the head of Nana Obiri Yeboah? This War victory remains a source of pride to those from Dormaa who have always tried to resist being ruled by the Asante.
However, this War defeat remains a bitter memory to those Ashanti's who know their history. However, I would also like to add that when Nana Osei Tutu succeeded his Uncle as the 'Kuamsehene', he went to War again with Dormaa and avenged his Uncle's death by killing the Dormaa King (and the Wife of the Dormaa King).
On a separate note it is a little known fact that it was an Ashanti Politician, Mr Krobo Edusei who played a leading role in the creation of the Brong-Ahafo Region. This little known fact needs to be publicized more as it has been hidden in history.
To argue that Brongs should vote for NPP, because Dr Busia hails from this Region is a bit simplistic. For example, you could ask the same question to those from the Central Region who vote NDC. The late Professor Mills and the current Vice President both hail from the Central Region. If the NPP is perceived to be a Political Party that represents only the interests of Akyems & Ashanti's why should Brongs, Fante's & other Akans vote for them? Apart from Dr Busia and J.H. Mensah who both hail from B.A. I am struggling to think of any other leading political figures of the NPP or its predecessors. Therefore, why does the NPP expect to win a majority of votes in B.A.? The same applies to the Central & Western Regions. The NPP needs to move away from this perception that they represent only the interests of Ashanti's & Akyems, to stand any chance of returning to power.
Personally, I admire Dr Busia not so much for his political beliefs but the academic work he carried out on Ashanti Culture & History.
