The Electoral Commission's independence is actually being used as an excuse for doing exactly what the framers of the constitution wanted to prevent.

The framers were aware that government of the day could abuse its incumbency to interfere in electoral matters to make it easier for it to rig elections. As a result, they made the EC independent in order to prevent the government from doing so.

What is happening in Ghana today is the opposite. The NDC government is intimately in bed with the EC and the so-called "independence" is being used against all the other stakeholders in favour of the incumbent. Do we need another 100 years to be able to rule ourselves as Donald Trump said? What a shame!

Instead of addressing the issue of why the EC should form a committee to supervise elections at the blind side of all the other stake holders except NDC, and pick all its members from die hard supporters of the NDC party, the "Kotokoli House Boy" is rather trying to pick up a fight with NPP for exposing the fraud and strengthening democracy in Ghana.

That Alata lady can never exonerate herself from any wrong doing anywhere in this world legally and ethically because; she is supposed to be an honest "referee" between all the political players. Moreover, apart from being bias against the other stake holders, which is a reason enough to send her packing; she also contravened the constitution by being a board member of another company.

This woman is just too raw and partisan to be the Electoral Commissioner. She formed this committee at the blind side of all the parties and filled it with NDC members who will put their stamp of approval to a dubious election she intends to conduct.

This woman needs to be impeached and removed on two grounds.

First for LYING. She said that members of the committee were nominated by their organizations after she has sent letters to them to do so.So far Peace Council and NSS have come out to deny they received any letter and NDC Azumah and Arhin were rather selected by the EC without doing any background check or an interview because she knew they are NDC members she wanted on this committee.

Secondly for STEALING. Yes, for stealing. This woman was receiving two paychecks from two government agencies at the same time for six good months when she knew she was not supposed to do that.

This woman has deficient moral flaws to be the Electoral Commissioner.

What we must know as a nation is that, this not her first time at a leadership position, she performed with the NCCE, and I believe it is based on her performance that the President proceeded to appoint her. And I tell you she would not fail us.

Reading through her experience should tell you she is a woman of no mean experience- We gave Afari Gyan the needed support and he out performed to the extent that, nationals of other country used our EC as reference point in their various Elections.

Madam Charllotte, i believe is the first person who wouldnt be happy to see her name being drag in the mud as someone to have failed at the position.

Can you advis pres Manama that his highest rate of customs duty and taxes and fees are causing Ghanaian drivers to be involving in road accident simple because the drivers are running onstop in other to makes salesfor the day and have some food for their children. Furthermore the vehicle owners have paid SO much duties so it's been transfered to the drivers and downctbe passengers and there bounds to be a road accident. I recently brought a car I purchased for$3,400 into Ghana and the duty as 17,800GHC as duty. What is going. Please advise pres Manama. I. An an NDC man far back from 1983a. During your tenure of presidency such cars I brought never attracted such high customary duty. Ghana needs your guidan a be it NDC or NPP. THANK YOU SIR MR PRESIDENT.

The truth is that no matter the powers Kuffor had as at that time,there was no way he could have influence the polls. Ghanaians are not fools they were tired of all the stupid things the NPP were embarking on and voted them out.

Come November 7th, i am very confident that Ghanaians will see the good work of Mahama and will maintain him as President, Akuffo Ado is too corrupt to be a leader of this country

You kuffour was so bias to the extent that, when in 2001 the fast track court failed in jailing Tsatsu Tsikata, you came back from Australia to pust more judges to the supreme court so he could be jailed. You think we've so soon forgotten all your nefarious deeds some citizens of Ghana from 2001 to 2008? People lost their jobs bitterly, others you falsely imprisoned, and others died out of pain from the hands of your government. Pls bury your old head in big shame and stop pretending to be someone without sin. T
