The perception now is that a body which was set up to oversee elections in Ghana in an unbiased neutral environment, at the expense of the tax payer, is now perceived to be, by their actions, biased, autocratic organisation with their own agenda, to send Ghana into chaos and violence that other African countries have experienced sending Ghana backwards.

The new EC chairperson Charlotte Osei appears to be incompetent, inexperienced and making one gaffe after another. Every decision by the EC now implies that they are not listening to the concerns of the people. How did Afari Gyan do his job all these years, despite his weaknesses? He did not appoint committees to do what he was being paid to do; take decisions and follow them through no matter how imperfect they were.

Charlotte Osei appears to be heading for disaster. Next time when a party feels aggrieved by her actions there will be no supreme court appeal instead there will be Ivory Coast type of scenario resulting in the deaths of many Ghanaians. Is that what Charlotte Osei wants? It is obvious to me that being appointed by the president does not help with the neutrality of the office of the EC.

Because they are seeking for higher positions and are well registered by the service providers. Presently, people use mobile money to dupe innocent people if the sims are well registered with ID cards, these criminals identies would have been known. So parliament should work out for the national identification system first before coming out the communication bill

Charlotte Osei because of her avowed plan to foist John Mahama on Ghanaians at all cost, has created a situation where the EC's image and credibility is completely buried deeply in the quagmire of jingoism thereby rendering the commission unfit for purpose in upholding it's mandate as a neutral, fair, honest, transparent, trustworthy and credible referee in Ghana's 2016 elections.
The solution, Charlotte Osei must resign, as the EC takes the needed steps to begin to restore it's damaged and tattered image, credibility and trust as a proper institution mandated to organize credible elections in Ghana.
