John Mahama has however accumulated a debt of a little over $37billion dollars. Ghanaians want to know the cost of those projects John Dramani Mahama says he is undertaking in this country so we can reconcile the figures, because those projects cannot be more than $7billion dollars. So where is the rest of the $30billion dollars? This is the credibility deficit of John Mahama, Koku Anyidoho is cocksure is in tatters, because John Dramani Mahama cannot provide that figure. This question about reconciliation of the figures is however on the ballot. It is an election issue and John Mahama must answer. Where is the $30billion dollars?

A government financial borrowings should gear towards providing income much more than just infrastructure innovative investments that accumulate debt.

Akosombo was built on loans. It brought income from Togo and Ivory Coast to the government to pay for the debt and the same time give the country visual illuminations in the night and automations. I am sure if Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had stayed in power for a while KNUST or TECH could have become one of the best tertiary institutions in Africa of not the world. The campus compass is one of the spaceous universities my eyes have seen even in USA.
All these lecturer bangalows can be put together as one high rise building flats, giving room to various academia like University of California of different campuses, akeley, santa barbra, santa cruz etc to nature differen cirriculae of modern times.

I moved from Canada to USA 12 years go to reduce my taxes. The marginal rate of my taxes were close to 50%, while the USA tax level was 35%

I used to ship cars to Ghana and clear them as gifts for friends. I have stopped this since 2013 when I had to pay 20,000GHC to clear a Nissan Murano that I had purchased for $12,000, shipped for $1500

The taxes are punitive and this needs to be adressed and I believe Dr Otabil is right and so is AfuabPokua of Adom FM! The Vim Lady

They are all thieves. The others are making money for their individual pockets and they are creating jobs in the country and as a result they do not contribute to the awakening of the economy in Ghana.

Over taxation is the new policy of the world bank policies and it is killing many countries economic development.

Ignorance of facts and realities is not an excuse for this man to go spewing wrong ideas to young people.

Zuckerberg and Jobs started in the world's largest economy now indebted to the world most populous communist country that runs quasi-capitalistic government companies and multi-nantionals. If those countries are successful and those individuals are successful, it is because there was an initial market for their products rooted in a well-developed infrastructure and ballooned into a global market.

Instead of encouraging the younger generation to look critically as themselves and think through developing sound strategies and products that would have mass appeal and global reach, government is the target accused of creating poisonous environment and overtaxing.

In Ghana, we are free to say all those thing. Why do not we try it in China? Remember, China is racking more profits than any other nation on earth and it is communists who are in charge and they might jail you or execute individuals who do not pay taxes because they undermine the government and the Chinese people.

Of course, Tax laws and collection made these things possible. Zuckerberg and Jobs also complained about tax laws. You want infrastructure but you do not want to pay taxes or shout on top a podium too high taxes and still want development. It does not work like that. You are either completely ignorant, or playing a game on the minds of young people.

You will not lead them to wealth as you have accrued if you keep spinning wrong and inaccurate ideas to them. You are giving them a gloomy prospect for their future as Ghanaians and the possibilities they have.

It is very sad to have a person who calls himself a preacher or pastor so mislead young people

Ghana, must be carefull of these comen for for them knowing they always have people who know nothing so are there as sheeps to the slaughter they are going to kill them always and it is a fact that there are so much fools around to be fooled in our society by these kind of people.
No wonder, if OBINIMI, can fool people to get rich then, Prof . OTABIL, has the chance to kill and he is killing big and even wants a revolution to top it.

Businesses make profit... It is a fact that during this period of world economic recession tax on businesses and individuals have been increased all over the world. Take note that profits in most developed countries are regulated by law and the tax that business pay in in accordance with their profit.
In all developed countries as a result of economic recession companies have reduced their profit margin, which is not the case in Ghana.
Workers pay high tax in this country, but they do not complain, when on like business men and women they do not make profit, thus can not charge the tax they pay on the cost of their labour like former do whenever new taxes are introduced.
