To save our water bodies,this is the time for government and successive governments to create a special Youth programme purposely to undertake re-afforestation along all water bodies of the country while strictly enforcing the water buffer zone policy to ward off farming activities along the banks to avoid continuous siltation of the rivers and streams.

Government and state officials everyday drive past these galamsey prone areas yet nothing is being done to halt their operation. We need action & and not the so-called theoritical law without any implementation.

I wonder what the so called Ministers of State stand for or do. They wait when we all finally engulfed with the problem and they come to spew garbage. Africa will not change until our leaders begins to do their work properly and if they don't they are fired. In Ghana nobody at the top gets fired for incompetence. Didn't the Minister know about all the problems coming with all his technical knowledge and skills? My heart bleeds when I read some of these things. Are we truthly independent? Everything, without a loan or grant we can't do it so what do we stand for as nation?

And even this we seek world bank funding. So when can we also provide for ourselves. And I am shocked about the water problem in DAMONGO. I attended Damongo Secondary School and left in 1979. And I recall vividly how we used to be put on a tractor to go to Lake Kpiri to fetch water for meals to be prepared for us. Since 1980 I know that each successive government in Ghana has always put this in the annual budget and allocated lots of funds for the water project. So how come it has not yet been solved after close to 40 years? Where has all the money gone? What planning have we been doing?

We should continue to allow the Chinese to do pair trawling in our seas and import frozen chicken so we shall be sick. We should also allow people to import rice to kill our local farmers and import everything to collapse our industries. Then after we use our buttocks to crack palm kennel and chew as food . I am tired if this regular nonsense NONSENSE.
