This is what happens under a neocolony that has to borrow money from the IMF and the World Bank. They dictate stringent conditions like taxes, removal of subsidies, downsizing of government payroll, increase IN UTILITY RATES FOR WATER, ELECTRICITY. All these measures go to make life unbearable for the common worker. Meanwhile the prices of our commodities for exports like cocoa are on the decline in the world market. Our entrepreneurs should be more creative in adding value to our raw materials before exporting.
