Nkrumah's demand for independence was 100 percent right when you see wisdom and intelligence in you but when foolishness and lack of vision controls your mind which today is seen in many of you with the demonstration of your village hatred in political and tribal sentimental stupidity then u can see Nkrumah's move as wrong.

J B Danquah did not start alone. There were many educated guys also involved, and I think you know them very well. They started but were not able to end it. The gifted man Nkrumah ended the fight and the Heavens know it was good for us.

Today where is your love in politics? Is it not only tribal and political bigotry you see always. Shame unto you guys for your uncontollable tribal hatred in the political arena, which cost our nation a lot because do not support good things from those you see as enemies in your tribal and political minds.

Please, just throw the evil political and tribal hatred away so that the ABUSE will go away from your minds so that the nation can move forward. Why are YOU guys not thinking of what you can do for mother GHANA? There is nothing like independence on planet earth. No human can survive independent of plants for example, we are all interdependent. The only person who exits independent is the sovereign Lord Almighty God. Having said that, talking of independence of Ghana to mean managing our own affairs as a unit in the community of Nations, we all as Ghanaians must exhibit certain characteristics, for example Patriotism and Hard work. We have all failed in that respect. The only exceptions I may dare say could be Dr Nkrumah of blessed memory and may be Dr Hilla. They both left office poorer than they took office as president of this dear country of ours. Take Dr Busia. This prime minister payed himself one year in advance, had his salary transferred in hard currency to his account in the white mans country before he devalued Ghana's currency the cedi. You could not do this as a hard working patriotic prime
minister of your dear country. I think we are a country of hypocrites and dishonest people.

Their founder JJ Rawlins came to power through coup d'etat and killed many former leaders because of corruption and overthrown president Hilla Liman. Now the NDC is infected with corruption but they don't want to admit it and are very desperate to win more elections. Youth unemployment, Woyome ; JEDA, SADA and the most annoying part in is that, they left the nation in darkness for over 3 years. Ghanaians have short memories so they can easily forget about it.

At times people are deeply ashamed to label ourselves Ghanaian. This country is rotten. Look at the report from Korle Bu hospital.It can only be described as shocking and disgusting and disgrace.We have invited the President of Kenya to be the special guest of the celebration. Kenya pays its nurses, teachers and the rest of it.What are we celebrating. Just look how Accra and other cities has been transformed new schools been built, construction of new roads and even hospitals. We have to be thanksful to God and to ourselves.

What was the population 60 yrs back as compared to today, the population has jumped to 25 million as we celebrate 59 yrs, only shallow minded people who will just make noise in the air. Ghana is fast growing and God willing are moving forward, therefore lets encourage ourselves, and hardworking honesty we will reach our destination, God bless our homeland.

We must be proud as a country because as a country as the president say we have not really looked backwards .

Our problem as a nation is we think the ruling party is the government so we have nothing to do with the government.

If they are dead, their effigies would do. Ghana has every resource safe human(Due to corruption, nepotism, greed and incompetence)to have been a developed nation by now. Just 5 years ago Ghana was at the crossroad to moving into a different level of development. Now, thanks to "Yenkyenni" we are back to square one. Shame , shame, shame on all who have been in power. The state of independence is the ability to produce your own basic needs, ability to travel without fear of highway robbers, for school children to attend school in a clean 21st century classroom taught by teachers who are not hungry and facing eviction from their landlords, governmental business conducted by professional civil servants who make decisions for the long-term good of the nation not on the whims of politicians who only care about winning elections. I can go on add infinitum. The point is that at 59 mother Africa should not be proud of Ghana. We have failed so far.

3. technical expertise
4. financial bailout
I know of a gov't, through whose visionary and intelligent policies, saw the Bretton Woods Institutions chasing them to ink deals, which they shunned, and without the funds from oil and gas resources, were truly on the path of realizing the dream of our forefathers to be truly independent.
And this is one of the reasons why John Dramani Mahama of the highly clueless, highly corrupt and theft-prone, incompetent and unintelligent, visionless NDC gov't is leaving office in November 2016.

Those who claim we have nothing to celebrate can sleep in their beds. Those of us who believe in the Ghanaian and the Ghana project know that there a lot to celebrate. We have a solid and stable democracy. We have all our universities being headed by Ghanaians. We train our own engineers, doctors, lawyers etc. Other developed nations used even with slave labour and cheep resources took centuries to get where they are.

Ghana will get there far quicker. All Africa is looking up to us. If we keep the npp in opposition long enough we will get there.

They are only loud mouth and cynical. The best Ghana can get from NPP is to keep them in opposition. They are far better in opposition than in power.
