Mr President, you are inexperienced and so had no idea how to implement the free shs policy originally promulgated by Nana Addo. Look, the man said, for Gh to launch itself into the global technological economy, it was necessary to design the education which is industrially based in order for our youth to fit into the current trends in workforce. But for want of votes, we had eminent greedy chiefs and elders back you to fraudulently assume a position you are not naturally ready for. In the US, while technical education is reserved for sharp students, tiribonkoso people are often admitted into our technical instityutions in Gh. So stay away and when Nana comes on, you will see what it means to run a nation.

The System is designed to look down on Tech Education both in Academic Circles, in Industry and Socially to make it Straight forward or easier for those who pass through High Sch. What Eduacationist or officials in the Country do not appreciate is that,a Highly Trained Tech Work Force is Sustainable to Economic Growth.Late Gen Kutu Akeampong was Serious to turn things around based on the Germany module.He had the idea but those who were to Design to implement it,to bridge the disparity between High School and Tech Edu,so that,those who pass through Tech Sch could have equal opportunity on the Academic ladder and in Social life, failed the Nation, big time.They ended up with German Volunteers Training and slight upgrade of Accra Canadian Tech Training Sch.Therefore,what Ghana need is not necessarily the name University on Polytechnics.But to upgrade all Polytechnics(course content and training)in the Country. My reason is that a Polytechnic could offer all three Categories of Courses (Degree,Diploma or Certificate), without the name "University" added to its original name.I suspect things should change in Industry and Socially in this Computer and Telecommunications age.

Need incentives to entice people into that area just as Kwame Nkrumah did with KNUST, GMS and Teacher Training Schools. These must be limited, short term projects eg. 10 years and not become entitlements as the nurses and teachers and some mischievous politicians are claiming. This has to be tied in to national development strategy as the Nkrumah's seven year development plan did. It should not be in vacuum. As a matter of fact it should be an anchor of the 40 year development plan; capacity development/building.
