I am angry about this because my brother committed suicide because he felt he could not cope with living. He had a good job, a wife and children but his mind told him he was not good enough.

What this man has done today is to tell others that it's okay to commit suicide if things doesn't go the way they want it to.

A suicidal mind just needs a little push! well done Nunoo Mensah for this drivel!

Can you tell us which technical school has ever produced such furniture and who they produce it for?
Did you see Nunoo Mensah's picture here as Ghanaweb rightly displayed,can you tell us where his outfit was made,do you know any company in Ghana that makes the tie he was wearing and the suit?
I believe at the time he was speaking he was wearing foreign made clothes including his underwear and he drives foreign made car,he does not walk or sit on those local market 'trucks' for people to push him,even the medium he used to talk that trash is foreign.
I challenge Nunoo Mensah to throw away everything foreign in his home and replace them all with his so called made in Ghana stuff,that should include his telephone,TV,radio and he should remove all the tiles in his home and remodel his home with made in Ghana materials.
When he was a National Security Adviser to both the late president and the current president did he advise the presidents to replace all the guns and other equipments the security services use with local guns and made in Ghana goods,did he criticize the materials used in building his office and even his home?

He started this criticism right after he was moved to some corner to head some useless security outfit which he claims is poorly funded or does not exist, only on paper,he eats and poo poo foreign but wants to fool us he nearly commit suicide,it is not too late, he should go ahead and commit suicide,he will even use foreign product to commit that suicide,all these people like Kodwo Owusu Afriyie,Otiku Djaba need mental check up,if it is not old age for some of them, otherwise we will soon see some of them like Owusu Afriyie and Otiku Djaba strip naked as they promised sometime ago.

And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they've already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they said there would be paradise in Ghana if we gave them another mandate after the 2016 elections. The problem of school children sitting on bare floor in classrooms especially in the northern part of the country is far from over.
After the Kperisi Basic School exposé which generated a lot of controversy in the country, it turned out that more schools are facing a similar problem.
One of such is the Al-suaredeen Islamic Basic School at Gulabani in Tamale South constituency of the Northern region.
The children according to Adom News’ Iliasu Abdul Dabre lie flat on the dirty bare floor to write because they are without furniture.
He said the pupils many of whom walk from long distances to school have to grapple for space on the floor due to the overcrowded nature of the classroom.
Iliasu who expressed dismay the first time he visited the school added that, the teacher cannot walk through the class to supervise class exercise.
I was extremely shocked when I saw the children lying on the bare floor” he stated while describing the situation on Adom Evening News Wednesday.
However attempts to get the headmaster of the school to comment on the issue proved futile. He told our reporter he has been asked by the Municipal Education Directorate not the comment on the matter.
Some of the teachers who spoke to Iliasu on condition of anonymity express worrying at the situation which they said is affecting teaching and learning.
They added that the lack of desks in the classroom has made most of the pupils truants – a situation they noted could affect the future of the kids.
But the Municipal Chief Executive of Tamale, Alhaji Abdul Hanan Gundadoo in an interview with Adom News, said the condition at Al-suaredeen has not been brought to his attention.
But he said if the school is approved by the Ghana Education Service (GES), desks will be dispatched to the school.
“We have about 500 units of desks available for distribution so if it [Al-suaredeen] a GES approved school, they will get some of the tables and chairs” he stated.
Alhaji Gundadoo said government is still committed to improving the educational sector.
Meanwhile, a promise by the Member of Parliament for the area, Haruna Iddrisu to provide desks for the school is yet to materialise

Having served in several governments, I'm sure you are well connected in Ghana. Why don't you use your connections to effect the changes you envisage for our dear nation, instead of contemplating taking your own life which will not help solve the problems Ghana as a nation faces. I'm sure you will agree with me that the government cannot do everything for the people. Ghana finds herself in this deplorable state because of dishonesty, corruption, and total disregard for the law. Sadly, when we talk about corruption, everyone points a finger at our political leaders. Yes they are corrupt, however, corruption is so pervasive in the society that development has been stifled by greed, avarice and incompetence, most of the time precluding better qualified people from participating in positions of national importance. So General, please use the second chance that God has given you, to devote your time in changing the hearts and minds of our national leaders, for the citizenry look at them for guidance. And you should start a national campaign to educate the masses about the ills of corruption, dishonesty and greed. You that even contemplating suicide is a sin in the eyes of God. I'm sure God will forgive you if are able to change even a few hearts. My second advice to you is that, if all else fail, and Ghana is becoming too hot for you, in your own words ,pick up your passport and catch a flight to a cooler place, may be to Siberia

The most essential need for Ghana,s progress is education,energy,water and sanitation. Believe me,when these four element of human necessity is resolve in Ghana it will spar the creation of jobs,ability for better awareness negating corrupt practices since most people will find a job than to indulge in these kalabule activities.
For now,Mr Mensah be content on how we get to the next level of development while using other countries product. There are times Ghanaian contractors have been given road contract only for them to tar one mile of road instead of fifty miles only to have themselves with big houses from tax payers. Do not think of committing suicide and use your experience to educate the youth for its always hard with everything at start but gets better in the end.
Ghana will make it in the long run,so keep hope and not despair like those who want power so much that they will speak ill of their country to foreigners to attain power.
This is our land,water ,energy and intelligence will see us through.

I have never seen and heard an army general pretend like this before.Do people who really commit suicide announce it before proceeding to do so? If he had even said that the reason for which he wanted to commit suicide was a rumour and not true, some people , including me would have taken his pretentious boasting.If its really true why is he still alive to even attend Ghana's 59th independece day anniversary.He could still have gone ahead to commit the suicde after the anniversary when he again observed that apart from the himan beings at the anniversary parade, every other decorations including the uniforms of the security services were imported.Okay ? This is a systemic issue. By standing on political platforms to bastardize systemic failings we do not solve our problems. Our systems are failing so our leadership must address the lapses that permit people to exploit the nation and perform dastardly acts with the consequences of wrecking the nation's finances and reputation. We avoid the challenge of solving problems comprehensively if we react in this way i.e. stand on political platforms and make sarcastic comments about these failings. Who caused it? Are we willing o punish those who abuse the system? If not we must just shut up cos the sarcasm will not end the problem.
