  Meanwhile the prices of the same food products remain unchanged in the villages which are the source of this items. A sack of cocoyam had been sold for 30 cedis since 2012 in my village, it is still the same in 2016. The farmers gain nothing out of this high prices, I just bought a piece of okro (1) for 50 pesewas in Accra central.
