The officers should face the law, but their actions don't deserve capital punishment since it wasn't premeditated. It's manslaughter, or at worst murder by negligence.

Police training in Ghana is nothing more than abusing recruits, drills, manual labour and hardly and notion of lay, order, rights of individuals and a clear understanding of their role in society. Why just see robbers and shoot? You only fire back if you are fired at. Retrain the police.
