  THEY ARE JUST INCOMPETENT. DON'T BLAME IT ON CELL PHONES. EVEN IF YOU TAKE AWAY THE PHONES OR DISABLE THEM DURING THEIR PARLIAMENTARY HOURS, THEY WILL STILL BE UNDERPERFORMING.

  This is a big disgrace to the nation. In the first place necessary electrical installations to silence mobile phones should have been in place before time. Next is, every well cultured person will swiftly put off the phone at the entrance of the hall. Sorry, but our parliamentarians have proofed to be typical villagers for not respecting themselves by putting off their phones. I am sure, they will not behave that way when they are officially invited to a foreign country.

  I always watch parliamentary proceedings on ABN TV here in London and i wonder whether we are serious as a nation. Rather than our MPs concentrating on proceedings, most of them will be on their mobile phones all the time. What is wrong with us Ghanaians? We do things as if we are cursed. People who are put in positions of authority behave anyhow as if they don't care. I look at how business is conducted in parliament here and compare that to ours and I say to myself are we serious.
