I am as frustrated as the next guy over the continued bad news about SADA.

Here is an organization set up to generate enterprises that will create jobs and opportunities in the Sahel Region of Ghana. The intent was to make it sustainable.

Instead of this laudable plan, we have selfish individuals, mostly of Northern extraction raping the enterprises, in ways that are rather overwhelming.

How can anyone with a say on funding continue to support this effort.

Nobody has gone to jail or been put before any sanctioning body, and yet others are calling for more money to be put into it.

It's a goddamn shame.

This story misrepresents the issues in part only because the SADA management have failed to reference the SADA strategy document that informed the promotion of the hydraform machines as a cost effective employment generation and housing project. The AG's department may also have failed its duty in requesting for relevant source documents that informed the choice of technology. The News Paper could also have done readers a lot of good by doing some preliminary research instead of jumping to publishing the AG's obviously incomplete findings. Very sad development on all three accounts that only proves one thing - the lack of a culture of basing decisions on evidence, rather than some other expediencies.

Thx is the old SADA. The hydraphom machines have an economic value. They are being used with GTZ for a groundbreaking housing programme in the Zone. Tractors have been sold to many people within the zone. Yes money from TSPs are been collected though at a rather slow pace. I think the New Board and CEO are addressing these issues gradually.

It is a fact that burnt and hydroform bricks are more durable and can withstand various condition, included salt marsh areas than cement blocks. Hydroforms do not need cement to be joined together as is the case with cement blocks. The Catholic and International Gospel Mission Churches have used hydroform to build some structures around the country. This cynicism looks like members of the opposition parties have no members in the two Christian churches or are just pretending to see structures build with the brick at the Awudome St. Theresa Catholic and the Headquarters of the International Gospel Mission at Agogbloshie. It is also a fact that the ground flows of high rise building around the world are build with burnt brick or hydroform. The opposition parties in Ghana rather than putting up constructive criticism have become a forum for peddling lies and falsehood. Unfortunately the CPP which is supposed to tell the truth at all the time, even if it hurts the party at times join this falsehood peddling parties.
