Literacy he meant. Being able to read and write. In Ghana, as such Africa, sports and higher education hardly mix. I could have done both, if there was money in sports. Now there is money in sports, not all persons could combine both due to lack of opportunity to render chances. A person who could soar in education might reject sports to higher level. It is not wrong to encourage that. Being literate in all spheres of life is good.
