Dr. Bawumia pointed out that the NDC had increased Ghana’s debt in seven years by GHC90 billion, from GHC9.5 billion at the end of 2009 to some GHC99 billion currently; an equivalent of some 37 billion dollars at the time of borrowing.

“First, If you sum the cost of all the loan financed projects listed in the green book (even including those with artistic impressions, it is less than $7 billion. Meanwhile, the government has borrowed the equivalent of $37 billion so where is the rest of the money? Indeed, given the resources at its disposal one should expect at least four times the quantum of investment that the NDC claims to have undertaken”, Dr. Bawumia said, as he began listing the six reasons.

Dr. Bawumia proceeded to list a number of things the over 30billion dollars from borrowing the NDC cannot account for, could have done, which proves that contrary to the claims, the NDC has done a bad job at giving Ghanaians their due after undertaking unprecedented borrowing in the last seven years.

Last I checked our current President is the one making stupid statements and responding to opposition challenges with comments like if you haven't been a president before you should not question him. How some of you fail to see Mahama is leading this country down the hill beats my mind. The man and his cabinet cannot come up with any innovative policies to move this country forward, borrowing and taxing citizens to the high heavens to build bridges, schools and roads can be done by any president but introducing policies to promote economic growth, stabilise the currency, encourage the private sector to grow and create jobs takes a different kind of skill set and as much as it hurts to say, president Mahama hasn't got that vision and skill set or foresight to even recruit the right people to provide that enabling environment. But will Ghanaians reflect this fact in the polls come November? We shall see. Hate NPP or love them, they are far better managers of the economy and our progress than NDC who have had the opportunity for 27 years.

Nana Addo would use every trick to present a false face. In 2007 Kuffour warned NPP party of the character such as Nana Addo. They did not heed his advice and now the npp party is at war with itself. I disagree with JJ that Nana Addo is a bold man.

You know armed robbers are very bold otherwise they will not do what they do. Nana Addo is not good for his party how could he be okay for Ghana.

I can say with high confidence that Nana Akuffo Addo is indeed a man of integrity and conscience just like Papa J.I have said many times that should our father Jerry Rawlings contest any election,any time and against anybody he will win hands down and one touch why because he is very much loved.His popularity has to do simply with the fact that he stands for the poor masses and ensure justice and fairness in the interest of same.A measure of Papa J's incorruptibility and integrity is that you barely hear these overt gargantuan corruptions in which millions of cedis are looted unchecked and unpunished under PNDC and NDC 1.Ever since Rawlings left the seen of active politics we have seen the NDC sadly degenerate into a capitalist entity with nepotism and cronyism at its best.The mentality of the current leadership is far from socialism as naked corruption,oligarchy and opulence with impunity is encouraged.Organized looting by criminal syndicates under the direct supervision of departmental heads is on-going in most public institutions.Anybody who followed the public accounts committee hearing involving the Ghana Health Service will attest to the fact that most heads of government organizations are not only corrupt but irresponsible and incompetent and don't deserve such key positions.Unfortunately what inform appointments as heads of boards and government organizations is lobbying,bribery and political influence not competence or technical ability.Virtually everything is politicized in Ghana today including corruption and overt criminality.Whiles crooks have cleverly aligned themselves to politics and politicians to overly enrich themselves,the poor masses keep on suffering and are becoming poorer day in day out because the nation resources are now being controlled by few elites though criminal and dubious means.A lot of cases bothering on corruption and whole host of illegalities in public institutions are being suppressed by government through the AG department.People who have performed a patriotic duty of reporting and exposing corruption in public institutions have been victimized with a sack with knowledge of government.Letters written directly to the Presidency at the Flagstaff House reporting corruption in public or government organizations are swept under the carpet to cover the canker.Whistle blowers and anti-corruption crusaders are often being persecuted,harassed,intimidated and threatened using the National Security Apparatus including criminal gangs.There is no any sign of political commitment to fighting corruption by way of stern anti-graft measures by government in the wake of the numerous cases of corruption with huge sums of money lost.Most baffling is the fact that culprits are routinely left off the hook.The government needed to implement at least three major reforms if it was serious about fighting corruption;1.separating the AG from the Ministry of Justice.2.enforcing the proposed National Anti-corruption Action Plan.3.Rewarding rather than punish people bold to speak against or report corruption.
