This is a communique coming from your camp of the NPP. Obiri Boahene is trying to spin. Now read: According to the party's Deputy Communications Director, Perry Okudzeto, the BNI and the Daily Graphic have put a political spin on their reports to discredit the reputation of the flagbearer ahead of the November polls.

He said the three South Africans arrested by the BNI are ex-police officials and have the credentials for training security operatives for government functionaries across the world including the former South African President, Thabo Mbeki.

Mr Okudzeto said the men are in Ghana to train some security operatives of the party adding that “There is nothing untoward about that.”

“We are training our security people to be able to engage in crowd controlling and to protect the Flagbearer as well as the running mate,” he said.

Former police officers with little or no combat training will definitely be a gross waste of money.

And this issue is not about the caliber of people in charge of national security, it is about whether they have been delivering or not, and the answer is a straight forward yes. They have been performing.

The three mercenaries were contracted by the NPP to work for them and that has already been settled. Period.

Ghanaians should begin to think big than all these little minded politiking,using Nana Akuffo Addo as a spring board to show their ignorance.It is incriminating for a whole deputy general secretary of NDC Koku Anyidaho to incite the Ghanaian populace against NPP, a credible largest opposition party in the country.According to security report,these south Africans ex service men were in this country during the last general election 2012, that gave wrong verdict to NPPs case in court against the riged election results, and if they were brought in by NPP ostensibly to fight for them,why was there no action by the so called terrorists from south Africa who kept their cool.Let us be objective and call a spade a spade not a shovel.This is not the way to fight terrorism since this will rather encourage the real terrorists to strike on the heals of of our ignorance.

A do-nothing government that relies on words and words and more words. So now, they are toying with national security, by inventing stories. With Al Qaeda on our rail, does the BNI realise that this is a time the whole nation should united to fight terrorists? Is the BNI deliberately UNDERMINING the National Security Council, which has issued a national alert and asked everyone to be cautious? If you brand the second largest party as being led by terrorists, then how are you going to get its co-operation in catching the real terrorists? Is the BNI acting in such a way that an NPP person who obtains information about terrorists will readily go to the BNI and share that information?

The sheep thinks it is fouling the street, says the proverb. But it is its own tail that will be smelling.
