More so, I believe instead of stressing on the age of the appointee, I believe the disgruntled youth should instead be concern about the competence of the person in question.

I trust the President do not do the appointment in absentail, it was a consultative one. Therefore, the was no way the President could have be said to have made a wrong choice.

What I see and sense from where I am sitting is that, someone somewhere is behind the scence pushing these youth to press forward with their demands blindly for a selfish reason.

It has high time the youth begin to see reason.

Secondly, it is also iminent that the government is continuing with the making of incompentencies in the handling of state's responsibilities in addition with systems that support create, loot and share. Nepotism all the way.

If you investigate these people, most of them probably dropped out of elementary school, sit around road side kiosks and shops, just gossiping about passersby. They are all lazy creeps, waiting to come to Accra just to sell something or drive somebody.

Isn't ironic, that all the old and experienced DCE's are a failure...so how does one acquire experience without the opportunity? Same old freaks will turn around and blame government for everything in their unplanned lives.

It should rather be inspiring to the youth that with education you are capable of being elevated to a position no matter your age.
What would have been the reaction of the youth if this guy turn out a $10M award to the community for development? Will they welcome the gesture or they will turn it down on the grounds that he is 25 years.

At the age of 18 a person can be left without supervision to perform minor work and that is the age people are employed in factories to operate machines.
The people in that area of the Brong- Ahafo can lockup all their children who they feel are not ready to work in some prison and free them when they gain their senses that they are prepared for work.

I suspect this guy is going to be used as a conduit to steal the funds of the district. I have been an assembly man for four years and I know what goes on in the District Assemblies. Please if this young man is a promising politician, I will urge the president to make him a special assistant to one of the ministers or better still recruit him through the civil service to acquire some experience for his future. Making him a DCE now will damage not only his reputation but also his future in politics.

Few question:

Has this gentleman seen a tender document before?

Has he ever been involved in any serious contracts involving huge funds like he will be doing as DCE?

Trust me District Coordinating Directors and District Finance officers will steal money under this inexperienced gentleman.

Let him go and ask Hon. Muntaka.

I have always be saying that, at the District Level, the DCE should be well articulated person with enormous experience, organization talents, well known to the area, and as to how to solve the problems in that area. In doing so the Upper level of administration eg. Regional. levels to the National levels will not have problems in the developments in the Districts and the Nation as a whole.I therefore urge the President,to exercise patience, and appointment a new DCE for the area, after the Elec tions. This District needs a well articulated, with enormous experience to administer, the area. They are really lack behind, and it is time to have someone better to save the situation no matter, where she or he comes from, so far as the Person is a Ghanaian. To my observation, this District has never have a good DCE after Asiedu Poku (even though he is not from the area), who really did enormous job for the Area

has a BSc without work experience, he's not qualified as a DCE.B'cos
as the overall boss, whom would he understudy on the Job!.The youth should be given the Chance.That does not mean just out of School -inexperienced youth should be given position to turn them into laughing Stock or ridicule at the work place. This man would always be on the phone to ask an office Staff or someone outside,what to do.I have directed or taught about 4 people like that on the Job back home.Some were on the Job for 3 months,1year,etc.It's not easy.Aside from the Job,he need to have experience(social) responsible in life to appreciate or understand certain things,and not to rely on his own figment of imaginations,to mess up.Therefore,the bottom line is to appoint the youth to lower level positions to have some experience before they're elevated to higher Office. This is not an opportunity to the youth.That is an embarrassment and ridicule to the Youth to be appointed to Top level positions without prior experience.And people don't see it as propaganda Strategy to deceive the majority youth to win them to Vote Mahama in the coming elections.
