We have no sooner deported the last arrested British/Ghanaian cocaine smuggler and drug baron, when 37 more foreigners have been sworn in as the new Ghanaians, just at a drop of a penny. Will be interesting just to know what attracted these seemingly happy people to switch their home country birth nationalities for Ghana - personally, I am inclined to think they have all seen the soft spot usually devoted for arrested foreign criminals. Ghana now is a country where arrested foreign crooks are nicely wrapped up in soft Egyptian cotton cloth and safely put to bed in a plush hotel in Accra. What else would attract foreigners to flock to Ghana in great numbers just to naturalise? Nothing, no apparent sweeteners here. Apart from the easy-touch approach crime hospitality enjoyed by both foreigners and the ruling NDC government bank-rollers.
