  There are a number of ex service men and women from the Ghana armed forces who are NPP and can be employed by the party to join the security network of Akuffo Addo.
  It is true that Nkrumah had Chinese and Russian intelligence personnel during his reign, Rawlings had his personal commandos during his reign. In modern times however, things can change rapidly. After training these people in all the military cum Police tactics, what do you do with them after the elections? Do they become another set of commandos that we don't want anymore? If you don't use and pay them, they will find jobs for themselves. There is the saying that the Devil finds jobs for the idle hands. We live in Ghana and we know how many civil wars and rebel movements started in Africa. We don't want Ghana to be a victim too.
  On another serious note, the police have also not acted responsibly. Security details should have been given to all Prez candidates. If this has been done, it would not have necessitated NPP going around to find their own security. It is not yet too late so the police must act fast.

Ghana has been known to provide security experts from our nation to international peace-keeping agencies of the AU and UN and yet the NPP cannot hire its own national experts.They can shout their voices till its hoarse but we the citizens of Ghana will not buy what they want to sell us come November. You either apply through the National Security Secretariat on reasonable grounds if your life is in immediate danger, then of course.I,know as a Ghanaian that, Police stands neutral when it comes to politics, so....... I therefore caution fellow Ghanaians to desist from dragging Police into politics and let's us helpthe police and the military fight armed robbery.   I strongly believe that not all officers who guard Obama like him or the Democrat Party but as professional officers they would die in the line of duty for the President.
  
  In Ghana our IGPs tend to have this COZY RELATIONSHIP with the President who appointed them to the detriment of their professional responsibilities.
  
  Our Police Force tend to preach professionalism but what they always forget is that professionalism has to be implemented in the real life situations and that where they are found wanting.
  
  Mahama is NOT a democratic President as he has no DEMOCRATIC INSTINCTS.
  
  HE ALWAYS LIKE ALL OTHER NDC LEADERS WANT TO ABUSE STATE INSTITUTIONS AGAINST HIS POLITICAL OPPONENTS AND THESE INSTITUTIONS IN GHANA WHICH ARE REALLY MERE INSTITUTION IN NAME BUT WORK AT THE BECK AND CALL OF THE NDC ARE LARGELY WHY THERE SO MUCH CORRUPTION BUT NO CULPRITS IN GHANA TODAY..
