Much as I damn this writer, my deepest condolences to all affected. At these festivities, we have always been victims, can organisers be sued for compensations next time so that they will know that health and safety of all persons who attend their functions in any form are their responsibility. It's known that our present government doesn't care about anything call welfare of the people but winning of next political elections. Can any of the MPs bring this to the parliament's notice so that this issue could be on record, at least so our children would know that not all of us didn't care. Amen

Please the school has to start to take the necessary precautions to prevent these reoccurrances at this same dam of Notre Dame Senior high school.Let me bring you back to history it was this same school dam that my friend by name Issah Hakim of Techiman Secondary School died in 1967.This repeat tragedy brings it back to memory.I was right there when all efforts by other swimmers to save his poor life failed it was just tooo late.It was students of TESS boys scouts who were on excursion to the north and lodged at Notre Dame School but the excursion was cut short because of such a big tragedy.So please the Headmaster should talk to authorities to provide a life guard at the dam to prevent mishaps from repeat.May his soul REST IN PEACE.

1967 to date is a long time and you have not told us the circumstances that led to the drowning od the TESS student. Two drownings between 1967 and 2016 probably means that measures have been taken BUT most of these accidents ...

Two drownings between 1967 and 2016 probably means that measures have been taken BUT most of these accidents are a result of our inability to swim. In spite of this people still risk and attempt.
I know most of the Catholic schools have many security measures.
Sorry however for the losses

The rector has been trying his best to avoid this but once it has happened ,there's the need for every first years to be educated on the dangers associated with the dam in question because I was there but I never knew someone could get drowned in the dam looking at it physically...... however, may his soul find solace in Christ Jesus.
