We are under economic shackles all because of NDC incompetent and corrupt government. We had eight years of NPP government and times were certainly better for us than we have found ourselves in under the seven years of GYEEDA,SUBAH,SADA,NSS and least of all Woyome stealling from us a whopping fifty one million.
The NDC and its head corruptible Mahama must give way to the NPP.
At least if I am poor but the sacrifice is giving all children in Ghana some free education then my sacrifice is worth it.

The problem we have in Ghana is the endemic corruption in all branches of Government. I am talking about high level corruption and Mahama is not doing enough to check it. Prez Mahama, some of us appreciate some of the things you are doing but given our population and natural resources, you should be able to do better. Priding yourself in the little you do is not enough.

We have a bigger problem in this nation where politicians point at someone else as the cause of hardship. The hardship persists even after a change of government, because we are not solving the problem and the politicians would not tell us the truth.

Our difficulty as a nation is not being caused by any president, but is attitudinal. How many people a productive in our national economy. Yet, about 80 percent are living on the 20% hardworking ones. We are no longer interested in subsisting on farming and able bodied youths flock to the cities in search of jobs. The orientation is so bad. What do the youth come to do in the cities? It's all quick money! They are interested in looking for white colour jobs! Salary jobs! No one is interested in starting a business venture. It;s all quick money! Those who cannot get a salary jobs are selling all kinds of goods, shoe polish, plastic wares, provision stores, funny, funny Chinese goods such as toilet papers, dresses, shoes, sugary drinks, knives, notebooks, dog-chains, used clothings, padlocks, tools, torchlights, batteries, etc. Our new orientation is the reason why we will go to Ivory Coast to go and buy kontomire, plantain, pepper, tomatoes, go to Burkina Faso to buy pepper, tomatoes, onions, etc. We buy chicken, gizzard, chicken feet, pig feet, cow leg, processed beef, fish, etc. No longer is Ghanaian interested in building own company to produce locally. We don't have the patience to wait for production results We are only interested in selling.

This trend force the government to borrow for development projects. But we're not ready to use the project to advance personal and nation's growth. How can we then blame any government for hardship and underdevelopment? The truth is we're not building a nation. We're tearing down this nation, and if you think this is not true, begin to monitor your own activities. Measure what you do daily and see how much you've contributed to national growth. See whether your contribution can help create jobs and help in economic growth of our nation. It's all zero! We are all tearing down this nation and efforts will come to zero. The change we need is not Nana Akufo Addo. It's reorientation, emancipation and a change of attitude for productivity. Chinese did it after practicing communism for so long. Nation building is about hard-work, endurance and sacrifice collectively. Americans did not think about the stomach. Akufo Addo has got it all wrong! This is the reason he is not able to tell us how he would solve the problems. He sees the problems but does not appear to have the solution. School feeding programs, free education, free health, free this, free that do not help a nation to develop. The only thing it does is to encourage more laziness, as we have 80 percent of less productive people living on the toils of hardworking ones. The future doesn't look good if we continue this way.

First, MP should be volunteers work without pay, every Ghanaian should enlists in the Armed forces for 2 years, Ministers should not be given free accommodations and the president should cut his staffs and pay in half. Is that what you are proposing? If Akufo Addo has sees the problem, but does not appear to have the solution. Than I will tell you this; Dead goat Mahama hasn't sees the problem and will not sees the problem today nor tomorrow, because he his dead goat with no solution. When was the last time a dead thing solve a problem? None. This is what happens when leaders only think of borrowing, inflating contract prices by over 100% like the Smarties bus deal,SADA,RLG etc. This unprecedented borrowing and stealing is a threat to National Security! Because the umprecedented loans incurred by Mahama, instead of going into productive ventures have rather ended up in people pockets and the masses will be asked to pay more taxes and bills to enable the nation payoff its loans. If each of the 10 regions of Ghana were to receive $3 billion dollars of the $30 billion dollars, how many roads, how many hospitals, how many schools, how many modern markets, how well would water, sanitation and electricity been improved in each of these regions?
Clearly, the Mahama NDC govt has really taken Ghana for a ride and there is no way he can lead this country. He will surely leave office in November.

Over 20 state governments in Nigeria cannot pay their staff salaries so says President Buhari and some owing up tp 11 months. Currently Nigeria electricity capacity is about a quarter of installed capacity. The iter state roads are not motorable due to lack of maintenance. The Naira to the Dollar by my last visit in February was N450 to the $1.00 while the official rate was N198 to $1.00. Let the opposition do a comparative analysis with our neighbours in the sub region and stop deceiving our people. In any case we Ghanaians are not gullible we can do the analysis ourselves because we travel a lot.

Who are “WE?”
President Mahama's visit and statement at my village indicate he may not have crossed the Great Volta River while at Sokpoe. Should he have crossed the river to Sogakofe, he would have encountered numerous athletic young people (mostly women) who out race vehicles in desperation to sell bread in order to eke out a living. These young people do not have catch nets and many are products of the failed Primary/JSS system who have nothing left but to throw themselves in the way of moving vehicles hoping the cars would stop for passengers /drivers to purchase bread, oyster, shrimp, abolo, etc. The scenery dramatizes the wastage of our vital youth.
President Mahama should understand that the people are desperate for opportunities. These are young men, who dive, without equipment, deeply into the abyss of the Volta River, in hope of grabbing oyster or shrimp to sell. Sometimes many of these young people do not emerge from the deep belly of the river.
How do these people "take Ghana for Granted" when there is no single viable job opportunities (there is a pure water bagging unit that employs less than half a dozen people). The ingenuity of the people has led to the establishment of pottery industry at neighboring Vume. What else is there Mr. President? How would desperately poor people take a country for granted? What voice do people living at the periphery of society have? Has President Mahama ever seen the face of any one of the bread sellers and the desperately poor on TV? Does he know the name of one ordinary person from the town? Can he point to one government initiative in the town?
Yes there is water by pipe in the town. But the history of the town has involved periodic floods that destroyed the houses of the inhabitants, including the story buildings of my great grandfather and grandfather (he was the first paramount chief of the area). The town was devastated by floods and the inhabitants were left on their own. With the building of the Akosombo Dam, there was a surge of river borne disease in the town. Many inhabitants suffered and died from bacterial infection. The provision of pipe borne water came through initiatives of the citizens of the place with some help from the local government. Similarly, the extension of electricity to the town resulted from the contributions of all of us. Without local initiative, we would still live with the travesty of having the Akosombo Dam that destroys the natural environment of the river 9supposedly a bargain for generating HEP) and yet the authorities by pass Sokpe and its neighbors in the provision of electricity.
The people have no capacity to take the government for granted. The people have been stretched beyond reason in desperation to make the area livable. The people are in surviving mode. They are over whelmed to see that not many of their kids make it to SSS. It is needless to mention the possibility of university education. They are frustrated that there are no viable alternatives for them to train for jobs. Yes the citizens of Sokpoe and their neighbors are working diligently to improve the area. They have formed development organizations; they volunteer in several areas to help their people; they care for their neighbors; they work very hard; they welcome strangers, including President Mahama, to their beautiful, picturesque river side village.
This is the president's first visit to the area. How would he know whether the people from Sokpoe take Ghana for granted? Perhaps his statement does not include the people of Sokpoe. Perhaps the President is speaking for himself, his family, and friends. Perhaps there are people in Ghana who are soaked in luxury and yet are ungrateful. Perhaps he speaks for those who do not weigh their words since they are weighed down by their riches. As for my village, Sokpoe, we have super athletes who run or out-run vehicles to sell bread and abolo. Mr. President, please encourage the Sports Minister to consider recruiting them. Do not take the people of Sokpoe for granted. They know that the words define reality. They are not part of "WE”. Sokpe citizens are not part of the President’s entourage. When you spend time with them, you would appreciate their pride, sense of humor, diligence, integrity, and gratitude. These values define them, not the over stretched community of ungrateful “We”.

Mr president, one thing you ought to understand is that there is nothing that you can offer to us that can make us see you as a good leader simply because the system of thoughts will not allow that, hence have the good heart for the people and offer the best that God only can approve as good.

Another point of interest is that our nation is unluckly bedeviled with tribalism and political party hatred which never allow us to look at things or good works with the good eyes as long as the good works in question is created or achieved by another person from another tribe or from a different political party.

In short with this hate spirit who can agree with the president that there had been progressive developments during his term now? It only will take a heart of real love to say something constructive to support the view of our dear president.

Generally Ghanaians continue to deceive themselves that they believe in God, but it is clear they are not, looking at their tribal and political hatred and sentiments that drive them daily over every national issues. They even see it good to fight over political and tribal issues without showing good interest in resolving them amicably.

What makes you more exposed to stupidity is that you called me stupid when l never abuse any in my writtings but l was just trying to say what l see as an achievement to a level that the president could. What is your argument about that? you can say your foolish mind too like you wrote, but why abusing in this simple piece l put across.

Writing on robbery in Ghana, with the politicians on the table there are more to be said, so never think they are all not the same. Atleast, under Kufour, 100 feet of the land besides the Tema motor were sold to themselves. You can check smartly from the lands departments in Accra

Another point of interest for our goodness. It is good to know that the land on which the former Accra International Students Hostel in the Airport area was located was stolen by K T Hammond, like he did to the drill ship money of little under million of dollars.

He is the NPP MP for Asokwa in the Ashanti region, but you read the the daylight robbery of that land. Check this also from the lands department. Before they would execute this robbery the NPP used the plan of stealing by initiating a policy called GOVERNMENT RE-ZONING LAND POLICY of which they smartly passed it in the parliament with majority in Kufour's era.

It was this same strategies they used to take govt bungalows which are there for our future children to occupy if the need arises.
Obetsebi Lamptey succeded but Kufour could not because the Gadangme Youtyh Association resisted him from srealing the bungalow from Ghana, and with shamefulness he gave up that stealing/robbery spirit and that bungalow today is there for all Ghanaians.

Also atleast under Mahama corrupt people have been handed over to the judiciary, a situation that never happened under Kufour, thinking of Anane and the Ghana Airways properties sold in London, the Gambia etc.

You can also mention what Mahama has taken or had tried to take and that he had been resisted like it happened to Kufour over the bungalow stealing game.

Even the case of Woyome, could you believe that it was the NPP guys who brought Woyome into the game to steal so that they get their share. In public the NPP talk like Woyome is their enemy and is a crook, thief etc but in secret they are friends indeed.

There are more that we ought to know because the politicians believe they must SURVIVE WELL so one can guess what that means. Do not be a fool to talk foolishly and abuse before you think.

What success please mention them?energy until this dubious karpower deal and others,we were in darkness,this has crippled the economy for 3years,businesses re still struggling to get capital they lost during the Dumsor periods again the current high cost of electricity is making it difficult for them to operate and the president is talking about success.Agriculture has registered negative growth,we now import Coaco from Ivory Coast for our factories to operate and he talking success,NHIS is riddled in corruption,people can access health care even though they ve paid,I agree with Nana Addo that this president is a story telling president,he has no rich dreams for this country looking at what he described as success.We travel 12 hour or more to the northern region where he comes from,he has seen how railways work in other countries yet he doent wish that in Ghana,state transport STC has collapsed,people re dying on our roads for lack of proper buses,when accident happens he know it ll give him the opportunity to present milo and milk to victims,when he should fire the sector minister and CEO of metro mass for lack of maintenance that coursed the accident.Kofi Dubai if you ve tast don't tell us not to compare otherwise why re deputy ministers using V8?.

Sometimes people don't consider all these things what they know is going around criticising the government knowing very well the government is doing something vital to develop country. what i know about we Ghanaians is lack of encouragement but that is not the best .let us all come together to aid the government for our own sake because together we stand, divided we fall. Your problem is that you think only building a road and schools etc a great success but fail to qualify that these may well have been entirely done with a loans or very little of our own savings.. .who cannot do that, and is this sustainable. I fear for our children who will pay the loans in 15 years time onwards..

Please raise the bar to challenge the youth and yourself if you wish to be remembered as a good leader..
