Most of them resigned their jobs to enter 'lucrative politics'. Politics does not belong to such group of people. They would do everything they can to hold on to power, because they would not have any job to do after politics, and they would not be able to use wisely their illegally acquired wealth. People like these must never be allowed into politics again. We would continue to witness such 'koboloi' behavior until the NDC with its 'Koboloi' members are voted out.

Ghana’s opposition parties, particularly the National Patriotic Party (NPP), have claimed that the current voters’ register is bloated with foreigners’ names and is therefore not credible enough to be used for the forthcoming presidential and parliamentary elections. They have claimed that some nationals of Ghana’s neighbours, viz., Togo, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso who have registered to vote in their respective countries have also registered to vote in the upcoming elections in Ghana. The NPP has claimed that there are at least 7,600 Togolese’ names that appear in both Togo and Ghana’s registers.

According to Daily Guide as cited above, “Togbe Kwaku Apasu, the chief of Nyive in the Norvisi Traditional Area of the Volta Region, has declared his support for the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).” The chief, who rules in the border town of the Ho Central constituency, asserts that the NDC drafts citizens from Togo to register to vote for that party during national elections.

He is quoted to have endorsed Akufo-Addo thus: “Nana, I can promise you that as for this year, I won’t allow the NDC to register the Togolese in my area again. I have formed a special task force of over 200 men who will see to that. In 2012, the NDC rigged the elections in my area, but this time around, I will never allow that”.
For the purpose of clarity, I would like to discuss briefly the
township that is located on the border. There are two Nyive townships. One is in Ghana and it is affectionately called ‘Ghana Nyive’ and the other is in Togo and it is accordingly called ‘Togo Nyive’.

It is also very important to note that the citizens of both Ghana Nyive and Togo Nyive are inter-related and that there are lots of inter-marriages among them. There are fathers and mothers, uncles, aunts, siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins who move to and fro the border on daily basis to visit their relations, to trade, to attend marriage ceremonies and funerals.

Recently, the youths of Ghana Nyive held an emergency meeting at which they confirmed that Togbega Aklama is the paramount chief of the Ghana Nyive traditional area and not Togbe Apasu. It is therefore absolutely false for anyone to claim that Togbe Apasu rules over 3,000 people. It is only the paramount chief, Togbega Aklama, who can make that claim, because it is indeed he who has oversight of the entire traditional area.

Also, the allegation levelled by Togbe Apasu against the NDC that it “drafts citizens from Togo to write their names in the Ghanaian voter register and vote for the party during national elections” is totally untrue. In the first place, Togbe Apasu himself is a Togolese and he became chief of Nyive by virtue of the fact that his late father, Togbe Dovi, was the custodian of both Togo Nyive and Ghana Nyive lands. So for him to claim that the NDC is bringing Togolese to Ghana to register means that he himself is not qualified to even register, let alone vote in Ghana because he is not a hundred percent Ghanaian.

Furthermore, Togbe Apasu does not wield absolute power and authority over the Nyive traditional area and therefore he cannot promise Nana Akufo-Addo that this year he won’t allow the NDC to register Togolese in his area again; any such promise is and must remain empty; nor can he say that he has formed a special task force of over 200 men who will prevent that from happening. He must have been daydreaming of his childhood fantasy. It is only the paramount chief who can say anything like that to be considered legitimate. It must be underscored that Togbe Apasu is not the paramount chief of the Nyive traditional area.

We are therefore humbly appealing to Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP not to rejoice over this childish endorsement by Togbe Apasu because the Nyive youths are smelling something mischievous. It was observed during the above-referenced emergency meeting that Togbe Apasu made several attempts to lure some of the youth with juicy financial offers to join his delegation to Odumasi-Krobo.

It must be noted that Togbe Apasu made the aforementioned pronouncement when he was addressing funeral goers at Odumasi Krobo in the Eastern Region and not on Nyiveland. Secondly, the question is, who invited him to endorse Akufo-Addo’s presidential candidature? The answer is that he was invited by Nana Alexander Nyame who is also a son of Nyive but now a chief in the Eastern Region. Nana. Nyame is also a dual citizen of both Togo and Ghana. His father is from Togo and his mother hails from the Eastern Region and as a result of his matrilineal lineage he has been enstooled a chief in the eastern region.

Togbe Apasu and Nana Alex Nyame, are up to something mischievous. They merely wish to enrich themselves by glorifying and endorsing Nana Addo. Therefore, the NPP campaign team must take this seriously instead of celebrating the endorsement by the two chiefs.

In conclusion, one has to appreciate the fact that there are ethnic communities that cut across the Ghana Nyive and Togo Nyive borders, a fact that must be taken into consideration in determining how best a credible voters’ register can be compiled that accurately represents the wish of those who have the right to vote.

So now saying "all die be die" means you are violent. NDC propaganda lacks basic logic. If you point out that if Nana was violent we should have seen this in 2012 or after the supreme court decision. But then they will tell you he had no choice and that if he had tried anything he would have been crushed by the military. If so, why do you think he is going to try anything now. Surely there is no country in the world where there is no pain. How your party would lessen this pain when it comes to power is what the voter not glued to any party would like to hear to inform their decision to cast their vote. Just as your party promised to reintroduce the allowances to the teacher trainees as an alternate to the present, you go ahead with others. I know in my mind that no good economist as your number one economist has been singing would take such a decision given the background of our economy and the prevailing conditions in all tertiary educational institutions. On that score, I am well informed not to give you my vote but it is quite premature to decide only on this. Come out with many more alternatives policies. Given what the government is doing, it is incorrect to think every Ghanaian or majority of Ghanaians would think the way you are thinking.

Nana is now teling Ghanaians to kick out President Mahama because he has not been able to better their Lots?

What Ghanaians need to do is to assess Nana's performance as Flagbearer in which a solid party he inherited from Mr. Kufuor has been reduced the sorry state the party now finds itself, then compere this state to what President Mahama has so far been able to do for the country.

Mr. Akuffo Addo needs to be told that President Mahama's poor performance does not automatically translate into his ABILITY to suddenly better the way he has so far managed NPP. We cannot counternance the situation where Nana will be chasing people he thinks he cannot "work with" into prisons and into exile, just as he is subtilely doing now in NPP.

I initially thought John Mahama was a nice person when he was the minister of communications under Rawlings's NDC regime but what I have seen so far about him has changed my perception about him. I never thought this guy is a thief and will steal billions from the national coffers to enrich himself. Now he is afraid to lose power because he knows all that he has done will be exposed. That is why he wants to retain power by hook or crook forgetting that even he uses any foul means the win the elections he will only be postponing his day of reckoning. Of course God knows how to deal with this guy and his NDC because God hates injustice and very much wants Ghana to prosper. If I were him I will show the fear of God by allowing free and fair elections leaving my future into God's hands. The funny thing about people like John Mahama and his NDC minions is that they are too clever and can control everything including their future by devising well planned devious schemes but they forget the ultimately God controls everything: so let them keep on fooling themselves that they are invincible, God will show how small and stupid they are. For the first time in this country, there is an unemployed graduates association of Ghana under John Dramani Mahama. Gyeeda was turned into a create, loot and share and cry vehicle of monstrous proportions which was used to thieve the national purse by John Mahama and his bunch of looters thereby creating among others, domino effect leading to the rapid collapse of this country.
Then it was turned to YES and then to YEA but still the stealing continued unabated.
Today, as we speak graduate unemployment is through the roof, and the youth bulge is regarded as a foremost national security threat, should the mismanagement, looting, thievery, coruption, incompetence etc, etc currently prevailing in this country and under the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't is maintained. Recently we heard of the scandal involving Vincent Kuagbenu and the Minister of employment Haruna Iddrisu, where some very serious and damning allegations were made against the Min of employment concerning the finances of YEA, where it came to light that the Min. of employment had turned YEA as his personal piggy bank ala the ILO magazine subscription and whatnots.
When matters really came to a head, the Chief of Staff, we are told issued a letter asking for Kuagbenu, Vincent to report to the Presidency for reassignment.
Ghana is mostly definitely at the crossroads of abject retrogression and stagnation under the Mahama NDC gov't and a new direction that addresses the fundamental and germane issues affecting the socioeconomic and development goals of this country and there can be no doubt that Chnage is absolutely critical, it is an imperative at the ballot box from the failed leadership and governance of the John Mahama-led NDC gov't. In my hood sums or has stopped but here in a case I have my Samsung smart LED TV spoilt twice and my fridge too all caused by this low and high currents that we have recently and it's still happening. My office gadgets are also facing the same faith. Even though we are happy to have lights, is it worth it to have your gadgets destroyed all in the name of solving dumsor and crippling people? Now we have lights but the monies we get from work are been used to repair our gadgets. Someone say why don't you use a stabilizer? I use the best stabilizers both at home and at my workplace. Sometimes I wish all of us will have the opportunity and experience to travel and their way of thinking and doing things will change. Let's think of the future cos some years to come we might not be on earth and our kids will be so they don't curse is in our graves.

At least I can see what the plan of the NDC is. They are trying to solve infractural problems, such as roads, electricity, schools, hospitals and others and they are doing quite well in providing these - the evidence is there to see. When these are in place then they will start to implement programs to get industry and agriculture going again . This is their plan which is explicit, but in the case of the NPP there is no such plan. All I hear are sound bites from you and your running mate promising things that are impossible to implement in the light of our current economic conditions. For example restoration of allowances to trainee teachers and nurses, and similar such free this and that. Go back to the drawing board and come up with a plan to show us that you can do better than the present govt. Then I can see clearly what you intend to do and HOW you will get it done .The HOW is very important.
