This detention practice is silly. You detain a lactating mother for 3 months because she hasn't paid her bill. Don't you feed her and the baby? So assuming she is unable to pay the bill for 1 whole year and you feed, clothe, ...

This detention practice is silly. You detain a lactating mother for 3 months because she hasn't paid her bill. Don't you feed her and the baby? So assuming she is unable to pay the bill for 1 whole year and you feed, clothe, and shelter her and the baby and continue to provide them medical care, when then is the bill going to be paid and at what point is she going to be discharged along with the baby? If she is unable to pay the bill for 5 years, are you going to continue to detain her and the baby and continue to feed them? This is complete nonsense!!

Ghanaians must use their brains for once and vote out these heartless NDC thieves. How can a newborn baby be detained in a hospital after birth because the mother can't afford to pay for hospital bills. What is happening in Ghana is crude and uncivilized. Even in America where the free market system is worshipped, patients don't get detained in hospitals let alone newborn babies because of money. Patients are sent bills at home after their care to pay their bills after they are discharged if they don't have medical insurance. I believe all these people being detained have NHIS cards. What is the purpose of the NHIS if patients are going to be treated this way. Any Ghanaian who will vote for this NDC Government to retain power must have serious mental issues
