It therefore makes no sense for Prosper Bani to tell us Captain(rtd) Koda break jail in those days where Ghanaians were held in bondage under the tyrannical rule of some Trokosi Nationalist.
It should be pointed out to Bani and his malicious mavericks that it took captain(rtd) Kojo Boakye Gyan - who would later be forced into exile - to rescued Rawlings from jail after the later was sentenced to death for staging abortive coup. It is therefore very cheap for Bani to throw dust on our eyes for trying to create the impression that breaking jail in those days of lawlessness was such a big deal.

I wrote about this Koda guy many times here and recently wrote about it in more detail than this Interior Ministry did and I wonder why this late before talking about Koda without the details.
This man was involved in one of the most disgraceful crimes in Ghana and was convicted,taking a mere 5 pesewas from a taxi driver and was arrested together with his colleague,Captain Okai Koi who for some reasons the ministry failed to mention in their so called statement.

The effects were seen in the Grand Bassam massacre we all witnessed in the Ivory Coast.

If the Ministry is forgetting most soldiers were either killed or imprisoned for no crime committed just for ones name to be mentioned during interrogation is enough to be killed or detained so jail Breaker or not was Capt Koda tried by the right courts and found guilty or was picked up by the so called search and destroy units of the PNDC at the time. There are lots if ex service men who broke out of illegal detention to go into exile and still frequent visits to Ghana and no one blinks an eye.
