If a drug baron presents himself as a miner and marries the daughter of a central bank governor it can be for only 2 reasons. The 2 key reasons will be money laundering cover and easier ways of sending or receiving the drugs through hiding them in mining equipment going to or from the West(Europe or US) into a fragile West African country. It could also go out as soil samples for lab test in the West. So the marriage is indeed a strategic investment with possibly little benefit for the father in law.The investor takes all plus some added brushing benefit!! I will perform this basic due diligence before agreeing to any such marriage. Not too sure if our boss of the exchequer did. We indeed need a more dynamic , exposed and modern governor. It is my biggest wish that another political appointment is not just made as we should try to put the right people in right places (those that impact the masses) and play politics with the rest.
