Isn't it strange that just three weeks ago when the news of his son- in-law broke over drug dealings in the UK where he is a fugitive, WAMPAH swore and avowed that he would not resign. In fact he stressed that he would serve until the end of his time or term.

So what changed within three weeks? It is obvious he is being forced to quit or retire ahead of time to allow in somebody that the NDC can bring force to bear to go into election year spending overdrive and over budget like they did back in 2012 the consequences we are still dealing with.

Isn't it strange that somebody can say on March 8 he won't resign and yet he does the about face on March 31st? It doesn't add up. Not that I like this BOG governor, he has been as bad as Amissah Arthur and should have been kicked out long time ago. He is taking the fall over the micro-finance debacle in the BA to cover for Lordina Mahama and by extension John Mahama.

Be politically wise NPP. It has been NDC,s stratergy to paint Nana Addo as violent even though they have no proof. This is just to make him unelectable to the people and again to cover all the shortcomings and disgrace that has befallen their party NDC nowadays. They want to use this stratergy to reduce the attacks on Mahama, and they are winning. So NPP be wise. The antidote is to start the heavy attacks on Mahama's corrupt deeds, his incompetency, and the difficulties the country is going through. Don't let them capitalise on the south African 3 to disuade peoples' attention on what Ghana is going through. NPP be wise.

And his failure to bailout Ghanaians whose funds have been looted by Mahama's wife, his son-in-law's crime were used against him to force him to resign. What is funny is John Mahama and his NDC gov't thinks whoever they appoint as BoG to bailout his wife's DKM scam will help him with votes in the 3 Northern regions and the B.A region and that is what is funny. I dare say, not withstanding the fact that Kofi Wampah wasn't that competent, forcing him to resign out of desperation with defeat staring him in the face, John Mahama just scored an own goal by forcing Wampah, with the idea the new Governor, should "have the ability to deliver" as stated by Amada the Fair wages and Salaries guy.
Your wife does not rip off Ghanaians and abscond with the investments of same, and you go and stand on the floor of parliament and scream, the Governor was not effective in supervising the micro finance companies and he should bailout those whose investments are with your wife minus the interest. That is not how monetary policy at the BoG works. You go and retrieve the funds from your wife and her accomplices and return it to the people she ripped off. That is what you do.
Who says now that Wampah is gone, using the BoG funds to bailout out your wife's scandal will garner you votes? Lesson is, you don't steal the money of the Ghanaian because you will be forced to vomit it and when you force the BoG Governor out for your loot, the damage is triple the cost. You will still lose and that is one, two you will still lose, and three you will still lose.

Can see why the masses get poorer because this man should as a minimum have been prosecuted for the DKM cash loss and suffered a salary increase and NO bonuses over the period he presided over the currency depreciation. Am told PURC penalizes the utilities when they deliver poor service quality so why should the central bank staff not suffer loss of bonuses and where possible salary freeze or reduction when they preside over currency depreciation and cash losses that directly impact the masses !!!

If he had planned this so that a new person can settle in before the volatile election period then we should rather applaud him for his forthrightness. Well the central bank position is there so long as Ghana lives and those who think they can serve better will have their chance, but so long as Ghana remains import economy we go no where.
