Most People from my area (Gam3i) are very comfortable with poverty and deprivation; hence, their support for COUP D' ETAT NDC. Growing up you commonly hear (ohiafo bi dzi mi) meaning, I'm a poor man's child. As if that is a good thing. Most people in Ghana are like them, hence their rejection of anything good. Let's help these people to overcome this limitation. COUP D' ETAT NDC has thrived on this weakness for far too long. THEY ARE THE PARTY THAT KEEP PEOPLE POOR.

The reasons given by the BoG Governor needs to be interrogated. Why should his reason for leaving be attributed to the Presidential and parliamentary elections. What is it about the Presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for November should prompt and necessitate the resignation of a BoG Governor? What role does the Governor of the BoG play in a Presidential and parliamentary elections for which reason a Governor of the BoG should resign? Is it that, the Mahama NDC gov't wanted him to do anything with respect to the Presidential and parliamentary elections for which reason(s) Kofi Wampah felt uncomfortable in doing? What is it with the Presidential and Parliamentary elections? This reason given by Kofi Wampah with respect to the Presidential and Parliamentary elections needs interrogation because we have had countless number of Presidential and Parliamentary elections but it has never been a reason for past Governors of the BoG to step down. So what is it about this particular 2016 elections?
As to what the other reasons could be, the DKM scandal readily comes to mind where John Mahama forcibly wanted Kofi Wampah to bailout clients John Mahama's wife is alleged to have swindled using the a micro finance company and was dragged to Parliament and impressed upon again by Alban Bagbin to engage in that conduct of bailing out Mahama's wife's clients, which he refused again, and because of that, his step daughter's matured husband's crimes, was used to launch an onslaught on his person to force him to resign.
However, Ghanaians need to know what specifically the Presidential and Parliamentary elections of 2016 held for Ghana and our finances, and our monetary policy for which reason, the Governor cited as partly the reasons for his stepping down.

A careful look at the tenure of Kofi Wampah especially from the time he was the acting Governor of the BoG to the time he was finally confirmed is very revealing considering the fact that over a staggering 8.7 billion Ghana cedis, at the time, equivalent to over a whooping $4 billion dollars found its way out of the vaults of the BoG in the last two months preceding the 2012 elections.
Ghana has never recovered from that irresponsible screaming loot of taxpayer funds to buy an election by the John Dramani Mahama-led NDC gov't. Perhaps, Kofi Wampah having an appreciation of that recklessness, on hindsight, felt it was time to bow out from the mounting pressure from a desperate incumbent President, to engage in similar such irresponsible conduct given the fact that, among the other reasons, Henry Kofi Akpenamawu Wampah cited the impending Presidential and Parliamentary elections as partly the reason, for bowing out from his position as the Governor of the BoG.
Henry Kofi Wampah just might have saved his neck in an election no amount of money can change the verdict of the massive loss of John Dramani Mahama at the polls.
We dare say, woe onto the head that wears the crown as the BoG Governor in whatever capacity, going into the 2016 elections and the aftermath, which was just projected to incur massive fiscal slippage by the failed John Mahama NDC gov't to again buy the vote, which he has lost.
Kofi Wampah was massively involved in the fiscal slippage in the 2012 elections in his acting capacity from August, 2012 and just made a very calculated decision not to bell the cat this time around when the gig is up. Good on him.
