We are not interested in who is walking around and telling us that he is transforming our lives. Put your hands in your pockets and see if your life is being transformed. It happens around the world all the time. Private security and body guards are trained by ex-soldiers whether foreign or local. Because such countries believe that there is no threat from such training rather there is more threat from terrorist such as the Gitmo guys.

We all that is why NDC is doing this. There is more threat in Ghana now from Fulanis and Gitmos than 3 SA cops who had no weapons. If they had weapons where are they? But Fulanis had more and even better weapons than the Ghana police.

So, you fake Kwame rather respect yourself. And, next time, try to make more sense.

Oh dear! How can Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah, ex-Chief of the Defence Staff of the Armed Forces, ex-Director of Military Intelligence, a man who has seen active politics and even been forced into exile because of politics, talk like a mere schoolboy this way?

Having "local expertise" available and being able to use it with CONFIDENCE are two different things.

Does Brig. Nunoo-Mensah know any ex-serviceman with adequate training in VIP detail operations, who would gladly work for the Opposition party in a primitive (politically speaking) African environment like Ghana's, where hysteria and paranoia are the hallmark of socio-political analysis? Where invention takes the place of hard fact in SITREPS?

The BNI would immediately put spies on any trainer who is recruited locally; bug his telephone and probably even mount surveillance on him. How much would a person have to be paid to regard all that asworth his while?

Look at the poison sprayed upon Capt Emmanuel Koda for merely carrying out his official assignment as director of security for Akufo Addo! Do you think he's enjoying himself being torn to pieces by the NDC's rented press? Do you regard Martin Amidu as a serious person? See what has been done to him in the rented press! And he is not even an ex-serviceman who can tell an SMG from an LMG!

Please, Brigadier, let us be realistic. Your NDC people behave like Mafia goons who take no prisoners (politically speaking). Advise them to cool down and concentrate on real politics, not fantasy politics. When the political environment becomes civilised, no sane person would think of going to the vast expense of importing foreign expertise to carry out functions for which local expertise is available.

If you. Brig. Nunoo-Mensah, were to stand for election now,against the NDC, instead of being appointed to this and that by that NDC, you would understand that in politics, when a crocodile opens its mouth at you, it is not just showing its horrendous teeth to you, but would dearly like to enmesh them in your soft flesh. Oh Brigadier, you have disappointed those of us who know your background and thought you approached events in a realistic fashion.

Didn't you resign when Rawlings began to import arms without informing you as CDS? What made you resign? Apart from these people being ex-police officers it is also known they specialized in providing protection for VIPs. Besides it has also been suggested they had turned down the government previously because of a prior engagement. jilted lover/ sour grapes? take your pick. Their VISAs were revoked. At least they applied for and got them. I don't know if the same can be said of the GITMO2.

Besides, the GITMO2 situation was an arrangement between the US Government and the Ghana Government; US did similar arrangements with other countries to transfer prisoners out of Cuba to close the prison; it was not just Ghana. Hence, comparing that situation with NPP hiring people from outside the country for training security personnel is a bit worrisome. Please, let's pray for a peaceful Mother Ghana first and stop worshipping political parties. Thank you.

With all that taking place in Ghana it is only a big fool who will allow NDC to provide the much-needed protection for it's leadership. Who on earth goes to the atmost enemy and beg for protection. NDC as it is now has uppermost influence on EC, Ghana Police, BNI just to mention few. The EC, the Police as well as BNI cannot be trusted. They all run on NDC. NDC is in control all the undertakings over there. NPP has all the rights to seek training for it's leadership from outside resources. NDC is indeed a criminal party and cannot be trusted. It can kill just to stay in power?

Having "local expertise" available and being able to use it with CONFIDENCE are two different things.

Does Brig. Nunoo-Mensah know any ex-serviceman with adequate training in VIP detail operations, who would gladly work for the Opposition party in a primitive (politically speaking) African environment like Ghana's, where hysteria and paranoia are the hallmark of socio-political analysis? Where invention takes the place of hard fact in SITREPS?

The BNI would immediately put spies on any trainer who is recruited locally; bug his telephone and probably even mount surveillance on him. How much would a person have to be paid to regard all that asworth his while?

Look at the poison sprayed upon Capt Emmanuel Koda for merely carrying out his official assignment as director of security for Akufo Addo! Do you think he's enjoying himself being torn to pieces by the NDC's rented press? Do you regard Martin Amidu as a serious person? See what has been done to him in the rented press! And he is not even an ex-serviceman who can tell an SMG from an LMG!

Please, Brigadier, let us be realistic. Your NDC people behave like Mafia goons who take no prisoners (politically speaking). Advise them to cool down and concentrate on real politics, not fantasy politics. When the political environment becomes civilised, no sane person would think of going to the vast expense of importing foreign expertise to carry out functions for which local expertise is available.

If you. Brig. Nunoo-Mensah, were to stand for election now,against the NDC, instead of being appointed to this and that by that NDC, you would understand that in politics, when a crocodile opens its mouth at you, it is not just showing its horrendous teeth to you, but would dearly like to enmesh them in your soft flesh. Oh Brigadier, you have disappointed those of us who know your background and thought you approached events in a realistic fashion.

For the information of Nunoo Mensah this was not, repeat, not a marshaling of Ghanaians for any war anywhere, not now or in the past, which Nunoo Mensah seems to be stuck.
Will somebody please repeat it very slowly for Nunoo Mensah, that in the wake of assassinations and murders of prominent Ghanaians including sitting Presidents of this country as well as members of Ghana's parliament, and also the heightened threat level as a consequence of John Mahama's decision to house the Gitmo 2 in this country, an action whose ramifications have already been felt in neighboring Ivory Coast, and credible information about assassination attempts planned on the flag bearer of the NPP and other leading figures in the NPP, the 3 S.A ex policemen with expertise in modern methods of VIP protection, were brought in to train the protective detail of leading members of the NPP. It was not a Zimbabwe war or marshaling for any war, in the past or now. It was responsible Ghanaians, taking responsible proactive steps to safeguard their personal security in the face of a worsening security crisis, triggered as a result of the failed leadership of John Dramani Mahama of the NDC gov't all of which points to the fact that, he is unfit and clearly not cut out for the job of leading this country and needs a huge respite, which Ghanaians have decided to oblige him.
So Nunoo Mensah must try and focus because it is very important he focuses on the issues and not stray into the propaganda mine field because it is a very lonely place to be right now as Ghanaians are very, very wide awake.

There is no difference between this and purchasing furniture from China for parliament or politicians taking trips abroad for their medicals. All such actions need to be discouraged by all parties. We must learn to believe and trust in our own competency and abilities.
