You don't mean, I hope, that it is only per text message directly coming from Akufo-Addo's phone that could establish the truth in what Adakabre is charging against Akufo-Addo. Do you?

And just so you know, the fact someone refuses or fails to report to the Police some evil that another has expressed to mete out against that person does not necessarily erode the credibility in the charge.

What we all must ask for is the Public display of the evidence Adakabre claims to have to support his charge. Then, with that evidence in hand, we could all assess the ultimate truth or otherwise in his claim. We could say we do or not believe the charge based on what we have variously observed about both ends of the issue.

Given what many have seen with Akufo-Addo's leadership in NPP lately, a lot of folks would have justifiable reason to believe the charge. Given what you and other Akufo-Addo supporters know or feel about him, you could also well stick with him and refuse to believe the charge.

So, instead of splattering unwarranted insults against Adakabre everywhere, just challenge him to prove his charge. Meanwhile, do you know of anything else you believe Adakabre lied about? Share it, then.

You would be a big hypocrite to have been pontificating against the impropriety of Nkrumah surrounding himself with Private Presidential Guards under the tutelage of the Soviets, and touting the unjustifiable formation of a similar Private Militia by Akufo-Addo with the help of the South African Mercenaries, under no known threat whatsoever.

Not long ago, he NPP led most of us to condemn Yaw Boateng Gyan, the former NDC National Organizer, for even contemplating forming a similar Militia for the suspiciously dangerous and sole interest of the NDC. So, how come it is now okay for Akufo-Addo to do the same?

It is as if you're indirectly claiming Akufo-Addo can do know no wrong. And that is most irritating. It is unfortunate when someone criticizes anything in NPP or against Akufo-Addo, his minions almost always call him a Nkrumahist for an epithet. If that is what I am to do the right thing by pointing the dirty tactics employed by Akufo-Addo, I would gladly accept and keep doing so. Saving Ghana goes beyond the moronic claims to ideology, or worshiping of a political tin-god.

A young man in his thirties from one of the Northern region towns accused Nana Addo of having urinated on the walls of a mosque. This became one of the propaganda issues the Ndc and it,s followers fed to the nation. Just to tell Muslims that Nana Addo does not like their religion. Nana Addo and the NPP denied this ever happened. The chief of the town who Nana had visited, came out to deny the contents of this story. The chief went further to ask the young man to retract the statement. He never took the advice but continued to tell his fabricated story in the press, radio and wherever he thought fit. After a year, the young was reported dead from complications of the urinal tract. Diseases which had anything to do with urination, mainly affect men who are advanced in age. And not thirty years old men. If this is not a lesson for slanderers I don't know what is.
Nana Addo will live the life he enjoys as an ordinary citizen for two or three life times without difficulties on his financies or his social well being. ARTICLE 57
The President

(4) Without prejudice to the provisions of article 2 of this Constitution, and subject to the operation of the prerogative writs, the President shall not, while in office, be liable to proceedings in any court for the performance of his functions, or for any act done or omitted to be done, or purported to be done, or purported to have been done or purporting to be done in the performance of his functions, under this Constitution or any other law.
(5) The President shall not, while in office as President, be personally liable to any civil or criminal proceedings in court.
(6) Civil or criminal proceedings may be instituted against a person within three years after his ceasing to be President, in respect of anything done or omitted to be done by him in his personal capacity before or during his term of office notwithstanding any period of limitation except where the proceedings had been legally barred before he assumed the office of President.
ARTICLE 64

64. CHALLENGING ELECTION OF PRESIDENT. (1) The validity of the election of the President may be challenged only by a citizen of Ghana who may present a petition for the purpose to the Supreme Court within twenty-one days after the declaration of the result of the election in respect of which the petition is presented. (2) A declaration by the Supreme Court that the election of the President is not valid shall be without prejudice to anything done by the President before the declaration. (3) The Rules of Court Committee shall, by constitutional instrument, make rules of court for the practice and procedure for petitions to the Supreme Court challenging the election of a President.". .

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, has stated that Lawyer Benony Tony Amekudzi would have been shot dead immediately after stepping out of court because he has wasted the time of the highest court of the land, if we were in the primitive ages.
According to him, Lawyer Amekudze was only allowed to present his application before the Supreme Court Judges because the law allows it, but if it was in the ?olden days, he would have been shot immediately after the court because he has wasted everyone?s time; but it is not so these days, and for the fact that he has legal backing to appear before the court, we would accept it?.
The out-spoken NPP General Secretary made this claim on Asempa FM during the assessment of Tuesday May 28, 2013 court proceedings, in which an application of Lawyer Benoni Amekudzi in the highest court of the land was dismissed.
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie who is also known as Sir John was especially elated with the Supreme Court?s decision to quash the ?Amicus Curiae? brief application by Lawyer Amekudzi, which he believes should not have been started in the first place because it has done nothing but waste the precious time of Ghanaians and the Court.
?I am very happy that he cannot bring any application which would waste our time before the court again,? he added.

In perpetuating the National Award Day tradition for 2013, President John Mahama has nominated three distinguished personalities for the Order of the Volta Award (Member Division). They are Lawyer Kwablah Senanu, Judge Francis Kpegah, and Lawyer Tony Amekudzi.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Awards Committtee, Dr. Kpesseh Whyte, these personalities have rendered meritorious but frivolous services to the nation in various legal capacities even in sleep, retirement, and in some circumstances, weird appearances in court. He remarked that nations fall and rise on the backs of their heroes, and it was only appropriate to recognize personalities who unabashedly betrayed their partisan positions to render selfless services to their party, region and nation.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the NPP, Sir John, on Asempa FM, alleges the award is partisan, although the awardees deserve them. He hinted of a conspiracy to change the name of the award to the Order of the Ashanti, should the NPP emerge victorious in the ongoing court petition.

The awardees will be interviewed on Radio Gold's Morning Show program tomorrow. Counsel for Justice Kpegah, David Annan, says although his client is optimistic about the award, he harbors an uncanny fear of a possible impersonation plot, since his middle name, Yaonasu, was not included in the official award document. However, Dr. Kpesseh Whyte assured him that nothing of the sort would happen.

Lawyer Kwablah Senanu was spotted dancing in his residency to a gospel song from Emmanuel TV hours after his nomination. In a brief remark, he mentioned that following his recent deliverance from the jaws of sleep, he's been experiencing mild insomnia, and fears he might doze off again at the award ceremony. Secondly, how come we have radio stations and Internet news operators who will publish anything said by any fool, without first asking themselves a few fundamental questions, such as, why is he using the media if someone has carried out a criminal act, such as threatening to kill?

One day, someone against whom unfounded allegations are made will go to court and close down some of these stations, and the person will be accused of being against freedom of speech. But that is not so. Freedom of speech does not protect stupid unfounded lies. Those lies are called defamation in law. And there is a penalty for it.

I for one do not agree that those threats you are receiving from "NPP' may not be NPP. Anybody can send you a test message if they know your number. It could even be NDC or any other party memebers, who percieve that you ,as a presenter, are being bias toward other political parties. The best is to report the threat to the police and let them trace the phone numbers to be sure of owners of those numbers. Where is the evidence you claim to have that supports your allegation that Nana threatened to kill you. For you to say that you'd be very happy to share that evidence with any one who cares to see it in itself makes one to doubt your story because it does not make sense for you to keep the supporting evidence to yourself. Adakabre, if you want us to believe your story, the only reasonable thing you could do, is to share your evidence in print with the general public for people to read it and make their own opinion on the subject matter of your story.
