President Mahama has chastised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not selecting a competent northerner as its flagbearer.

Citing an example of former Vice President Ahaji Aliu Mahama, President Mahama accused the NPP for paying little attention to northerners.

According to him, the NPP has shown in the past that it has very little respect for northerners and therefore cannot be trusted.

The President made the remarks in Tongo when he resumed his camping tour of the Upper East region after suspending it for three days to attend to the victims of the Melcom disaster in Accra.

He said “our brother Aliu Mahama was Vice President for 8 years. I was Vice President for 3 and half years. For almost 12 years, we have tasted Vice Presidency. It’s no longer exciting. It’s no longer what we want.”

He said if the NPP wants votes from the northern part of the country, then they should put up Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as their flagbearer to face-off with him.

“They want to win here, they should put him in number one and let two of us contest and then they will get something from here,” the president said.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has described the defeat of the republicans in the US elections as a good omen for the ruling NDC and an indication that similar thing will be replicated in Ghana in the upcoming elections.

According to him, anytime the democrat party win an election in the US, the NDC also wins in Ghana, making reference to the 2008 elections.

He said: “In 2008 polls in the USA, Obama won by chasing the elephant into the bush and later the NDC also chased the elephant into the bush in Ghana, and just this week, Obama has again chased the elephant into the bush, which will be replicated in Ghana in December.”

He said the performance of the NDC government in the last four years is enough evidence to encourage more Ghanaians to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming elections.

President Mahama said inspite of the increase in wage bills as a result of the implementation of the single spine salary structure, government is still economically solid to execute more development projects in the phase two of the Better Ghana Agenda.

The only change he brought to his party is to suspend three Party national executives,chairman PAUL AFOKO,second-vice Sammy Crabbe and General Secretary,Kwabena Agyepong.

Mahama is really changing and transforming Ghana.In line with the Energy for All programme, electricity supply has been extended to 2,861 communities in the last three years bringing total access to electricity in Ghana to? 76% which is second only to South Africa in sub-Saharan Africa.

Under the Second Millenium Compact,? a significant percentage of the US$537 million will be invested in the restructuring and strengthening of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to position it to meet the needs of consumers and run more efficiently.

You see, merely saying this is not enough,Dr Bawumia needs to break it down for us. Because from all I know nothing has changed in the NPP since Nana Addo became flag bearer for the third time.Sincerely things have worsened this time round,the NPP has suffered at least three major earthquakes resulting in either deaths or suspensions, and the party has shrinked, while Bawumia keeps tickling himself on the campuses of Schools like a student.

Have a look at the some of the projects Mahama ahd his administration has carried out in just fours;he's upgraded some major roads in the capital,Bukom, Jamestown, Mamprobi, Laterbiokorshie, Dansoman, Mantse Agbonaa, Chorkor, Madina, La Dadekotopon and Adentan,Tema, Ningo-Prampram, Ashaiman and Teshie-Nungua.
and the tourism sector has witnessed a significant growth.International tourist arrival rose from 1,093,00 in 2014 to 1,202,220 in 2015.Associated revenue increase 2,065.5 to 2.275 billion dollars respectively.Direct and indirect jobs created by the sector increased from 241,000 to 330,514 during that period.

Then the blade on his machete broke, so he killed the last ten with his bare hands."
The teacher looked a little shocked. After clearing her throat, she asked what possible moral there could be to this story.

In the area of HEALTH,18 Health Centres have been completed at Amasaman, Doffor, Pokukrom, New Jejeti, Paakro, Gwollu, Funsi, Sang, Northern Buipe, Manso Nkwanta, Abuakwa, Mase Sosekpe, Kedzi, Adamso, Kayoro, Timonde, Bonsu Nkwanta and Dadieso.

Out of 2,948 functional Community -based Health Planning and Service (CHPS) zones, 1,260 have been constructed. Another 1,600 are at varying stages of implementation as the next phase.

In the area of Education,President John Mahama’s provided equitable access to good quality and child-friendly universal basic education.This is being achieved through significant improvements in infrastructure, provision of teaching and learning materials, enhancement of quality of teaching, management and supervision of schools, as well as delivery of social intervention programmes.A total of 1,614 out of 2,578 basic school projects have been completed under the Schools Under Trees programme. The remaining are due for completion in the medium term.

How does a seasoned economist compare 0ne cedi today to 0ne cedi of 2008 and say they are of equal value. 9.8 million cedis in 2008 wasm about 9.2 million dollares. Note that wou indeptedness in dollar terms does not change over the years. Thus, if we do not pay the principal of the dollars we owed ten years ago, it remains the samw today, after we nkeep paying the interest on it. Ghana's total debt is about 26 milli0n doaalars, so Bawumia should tell us how much of it was inherited by the current government. He knows that the NPP left a total dept of about 9.2 million dollars but he will never say that because he knows that no body will citically question him. In fact, he thinks that Gahanaian students and journalist are gulluible and will thus always get awy with it. Aterall, the NPP have succeeded in hoohwinking Ghanaians to think that he is such a brilliant economists whose analyses are beyond scrutiny. Even all the reknown economists in the country have been cowed into sbmissionm and silence. What a pity. All the lies and deception just for power.HMMMMM!!!!!
