  The assertion by the NDA head is that more rural folks are affected by diabetes. Any studies/research done to collaborate this? While this assertion might be true, I believe this trend is primarily driven by rural folks' heavy consumption of super extra portions of starchy foods - cassava, yams, plantains, etc., etc.
