This is the law (customized number plat should not exceed six figures). However, DVLA which is a government agency went ahead to break the law to take fees and issue these customized number plate which exceeds six figures.

If the Motor Traffic Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service and Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) had work in consultation with each I believe this will not ever happen.

The report states CLEARLY that the plates were not authorized and that the car owners did it themselves. Hence the instruction to impound when seen.

if you did read the full story, should have identified that, even the DVLA, the institution responsible for issuing out number plates is at shock how this plate got out there, which means, the people using the plate have engaged in some act of lawlessness.

And you would agree with me that, such actions must not be encouraged in any way.

Therefore the police in this regard have simply not erred at all.

It actually in the larger interest of the populace that the police exist and we must be seen supporting them instead of unnecessarily, and ignorantly interfering them work.

Why should any good Police office think someone can drive a car with a number plate that doesn't belong to the car. The police don't have to tell the public actions they want to undertake.
If the numbers are wrong, they are wrong. It is not what the number plate says. If ever the plate had KOFI or 1234 and don't belongs to the car it's a crime.
The police is asking Ghanaians to check every number plate and report it.
Police should do their jobs and stop making stupid complain.

An agency under his competency PREZMA, if there were slightest competency among people who work at DVLA they will be aware of the law this particular law (customized number plate should not exceed six figures) and would deny anybody who applied.

It's not just a free world. The Office of the Secretary of State (under which Licensing falls) has the right to decide what is accepted and not what is accepted. Obviously, they will NEVER accept "VOTE TRUMP" as a number plate. Nor will they allow anything that in religious, political, sexual, and all. The DVLD should should responsibly draw a line as to what is decent and what should be accepted, before we begin to see CORRUPT MAHAMA as a number plate. Hey, we all know the man is corrupt.

For instance all cars registered at Oda may have OD-AA-NNNN, all vehicle registered at Nsawam may have NS-AA-NNNN, whene AA are characer cobinnation AA To ZZ and NNNN a 4-digit number.
