SOURCE: NPP COMM.------ Dr. Bawumia pointed out that the NDC had increased Ghana’s debt in seven years by GHC90 billion, from GHC9.5 billion at the end of 2009 to some GHC99 billion currently; an equivalent of some 37 billion dollars at the time of borrowing. “First, If you sum the cost of all the loan financed projects listed in the green book (even including those with artistic impressions, it is less than $7 billion. Meanwhile, the government has borrowed the equivalent of $37 billion so where is the rest of the money? Indeed, given the resources at its disposal one should expect at least four times the quantum of investment that the NDC claims to have undertaken”, Dr. Bawumia said, as he began listing the six reasons. Dr. Bawumia proceeded to list a number of things the over 30billion dollars from borrowing the NDC cannot account for, could have done, which proves that contrary to the claims, the NDC has done a bad job at giving Ghanaians their due after undertaking unprecedented borrowing in the last seven years.

NDC has only one option to win 2016 only if the voter's register will not be changed but glory be unto God that he has allowed UK to give us £4 million (pound sterling) to conduct free and fair election which my tax is involved and you and your stupid mahama cannot take my money just like that because I am working hardly here. As for those bogus research, NDC should not even be responding to them,we heard these foolish predictions in the past but it has always been the opposite,such useless polls cannot work in Ghana,nobody in his right mind who knows Ghana will make such predictions.

Since the 4th republic no government has stayed in power for more than 2 terms. All of them have been changed after 2nd term and none has won a third term, so, history will repeat itself. Also if developments is what it takes to retain power, NPP would still be in power after Kuffour. I say this because Kuffour did a lot of developments in the country even in the Volta region but still lost to NDC. And again let me repeat, what is happening in Ghanaians politics is that no government stays in power for more than 2 terms. This strategy was used to the advantage of NDC appealing to Ghanaians to bring them to power because no government of any political party after the 4th republic have won a third term and Ghanaians listened to them and gave them the mandate to be in power. So history will repeat itself. Mahama should forget about a second term for himself. The time for NDC is over, they have served two terms and that will be it, next government will be another party bit NDC. Time will tell.

Bawumia says if NPP wins,they will pay allowances to teachers' and nursing trainees.Nobody has challenge Bawumia any question about it.Then again,Bawumia says if NPP is elected they will scrap import duty on all raw materials.I think govt normally put 10% duty on imported raw materials but I don't know if oil and gas.What impact will it have on the electricity tarrif?This is a classic campaign where tax takes the centre stage.My final concern goes to the 3 years agreement with the IMF,how is NPP going to review this?As an independent observer,I can say Bawumia has made very important statements here but NDC seems to be neglecting the effectiveness of Bawumia's campaign strategy.I am impressed by Bawumia's approach but not satisfied and convinced until he defines his campaign message properly to the understanding of a lay person.I would like to see how electricity and transportation tarrifs will be reduced in commercial terms.For example if we are paying 100 cedis for 1 month,what will be the tarrif for the same 1 month when oil and gas import duties are scrapped?Bawumia has forgotten to tell us that.The question of energy safety will also play a major role in the 2016 elections campaign but unfortunately no candidate is adequately equipped to define his energy strategy.In my opinion both NPP and NDC need to make some radical changes in their campaign strategies.Thank you.

NDC thinks to win the upcoming election is to borrow heavily and do projects across the country. If borrowing was the way to go for this country, the previous Presidents would have done it. The NDC adopted this approach because of corruption knowing that they can steal the country's money through the provision of heavy physical infrastructure.
NDC claims they have provided infrastructure morethan any government but there is economic hardship across the country. Governments which did not provide more infrastructure produced better economic conditions for the ordinary Ghanaian to realise their personl ambition.
I have more to say on the the party, NDC or NPP, which produced more projects in the Volta Region.
NDC HAS BEEN NOTED TO GO ON THE TRIBAL TRAJECTORY DURING ELECTIONS
It is not surprising to me to read about the comments by the President in relation to the government between NDC and the NPP who has provided more projects to the Volta Region. In a letter which I have edited but yet to be presented to the NPP Campaign team, I mentioned all the likely areas the NDC will campaign on and tribal issue has been one. So I am not disappointed that the first salvo has been fired and there are others in the pipeline to come out.
Why the Volta Region? Is this the only region in Ghana? I am a 100% son of the Region and any development to the Region is welcomed. Former President Rawlings, a son of the Region on the ticket of the NDC did not give much development projects to the Region as compared to Ashanti Region but the people of the Volta Region voted massively for him.
President Mahama and the NDC are doing this because they see the Volta Region as their World Bank and are hoping to accrue from it. My people, the Voltarians are doing themselves more harm than good if they continue along this path. They have made it very predictable which political party they will vote for so they will not be taking seriously and will be marginalized. For them to be taken seriously, forget about the frequent visits by the President which mean nothing, they have to take a strategic position like the Western Region. I will again invite people to read the book by Robert Greene titled Power to understand how this play out.
I know my people are smart people and are able to reason above the cheap tribal politics being adopted by the NDC to hoodwink them.I have sat in meetings of my elders and I can admire the enormous wisdom from them in spite of their educational levels. This is a tribe I am very proud to belong to and everywhere I find myself I announce myself as such. They are gifted in many respects and it hurts that most of their sons and daughters who are in the NDC and its surrogate the PNDC which has administered this country more than any grouping of individuals have not been helpful. They only seek their personal benefits and leave the scene. The time has come for them to wake up to the reality of our times and take a strategic position which I will lead. I am an Nkrumaist, who believe in the body of ideas of Osagyefo but that is not to say that any leader who holds good promises for this country should not be supported. We are ageing and cannot allow anybody or group to waste the short time God has allowed for us on this land of Ghana.
This business of the provision of physical infrastructure has not been understood by many people in this country especially the journalists. I will quote extensively from the 1992 Constitution for us to follow the Constitutional Democracy we have adopted.
We should first of all have the basic understanding of the social contract between the citizenry and the Government.The people in effect are saying that we shall provide you the Government with the resources by way of taxes, levies etc and to use our sovereignty to borrow which are committed to pay. Use this resources efficiently and effectively to provide us our needs so that we can have better economic condition. The Government’s bargain is that we shall use our knowledge (head) to manage your resources efficiently and effectively to provide you the things that will ensure better economic condition. So in Article 36(1), the Constitution says ‘’The State shall take all necessary action to ensure that the national economy is managed in such a manner as to maximize the rate of economic development and to secure the maximum welfare , freedom and happiness of every person in Ghana and to provide adequate means of livelihood and suitable employment and public assistance to t6he needy.’’ So the question is that has each party met their part of the bargain.
Another Constitutional Article of importance relating to the provision of infrastructure is 36(2d). Due to lack of time this will not be produced but I entreat all to read it.
This government is noted to have borrowed more than any government in the history of our country. The sources of revenue for the Government has been better than all the previous administration; oil , more taxes and levies and their high rates among others. I hold the view that any ASS given this level of resources can produce the development projects and probably more. It is not difficult to do with all these money. Even if it is true that Government has given us these projects than any other government in the past, why is the country going through economic hardship. Previous governments with lesser money could not produce more projects but the country did not go through the economic hardship we are witnessing. This tells us there is problem. I will explain this problem in my next report.
I wish to use this platform to advise the NPP about something which they may take for granted. When the families of the late Jake visited former President Rawlings he passed a piece of advice to the NPP. I am not interested in the advice to the NDC for now. He said the NPP should try to erase the perception that it an elitist party. This is a loaded statement but I don’t know if the NPP understand the import of it.
The campaign being carried to the people should be broken down to the level of understanding of the people for them to appreciate. The big English should be reserved for the elites and the intellectuals. These days we are saying evidence based. If this will allow for better understanding, then let us apply it. I am of the school of thought that it is helpful those whose level of education is not high. I am available for the Campaign team to use. I hope to meet them sooner than later to present the letter I have edited for them.

The Mahama-led administration has so far managed to fast track the construction and/or completion of many projects among them; the Cape Coast stadium, the Kotokoraba market, Kommenda sugar factory, water processing plant in the Eastern region, Teshie desalination project , the Kumasi shoe factory and the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant in the Western region.
Others include the completion or construction of numerous schools buildings including, the new 200 community day Senior High Schools, various road projects nationwide, the Tamale International airport, the Youth Entrepreneurship Fund, the Awoshie -Pokuase road, the 600 bed Legon hospital, Tamale Teaching hospital, University of Ghana Teaching Hospital, Ridge and Police hospital expansions.

John Dramani Mahama is losing the 2016 elections on the first ballot. There will be no run-off. He is losing it one touch and he will call on congratulate the incoming Akufo Addo Presidency before the full results are declared. He is losing massively and very heavily in this 2016 elections so he should stop the sniveling anytime Ghanaians take the EC on, to make the process clean and credible, because, there will not be a repeat of the 2012 rigging and bastardization of the ballot, and the mandate of the Ghanaian electorate.
