  Ghana wants gas from Nigeria without paying them for it. The government has failed to come up with viable strategic plans for the energy sector and this is witnessed by forcing out Kwabena Donkor because he did not solve the energy problem in one year. Ghana's energy policy which is currently emphasizing thermal energy is not sound considering the numerous problems associated with thermal energy infrastructure and given the government non-maintenance culture. In the long run, solar energy would be more viable and our energy mix policy should pay more attention to renewable energy.
