Why rely on the incompetency of the Ghana Security Services to defend your people and your farms from invading nomadic, wild Fulanis? Because these Fulanis have come to know that the local residents of Konongo and its environs in the Ashanti region are deplorably weak to defend themselves that is the reason they chose to remain in these rich farming areas to glaze their cattle. The damage these roving cattle handlers can do to the farmers' lands is very well documented and needs to be taken seriously by the equally incompetent NDC government. The Asantehene is also known to have promised to help protect the locals to no avail. Since the concerned authorities have all but failed to help the people of these areas under destruction by the Fulas, why don't these locals organise vigilante defence groups to fight and protect their lands against these rag-tag cattle-handlers' army of Fulas? These lot maybe armed, but since the local DCEs fail to disarm them then the locals can also deem it an acceptable choice to use anything, including guns to defend their own farms and the environment from destruction.
