Now 8years after the completely incompetent and thieving John Mahama NDC gov't growth is at 3.7% with all the other benefits.
So when John Dramani Mahama talks about Ghana's economy having made a turnaround, he is very correct. Under his watch within the 8 years of the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't the turnaround is to the doldrums, the turnaround is into the abyss, the turnaround is in the opposite direction from where Ghana was in 2008, which is going in the negative direction.
John Mahama has caused a turnaround of Ghana's economy into negative territory and there is no way he can lead this country. Ghana has collapsed and he has failed screamingly. This is not somebody who can lead this country and he must be jettisoned at the ballot box in November massively.

The Bank of Scotland's latest PMI indicated output in the private sector declined last month, while the amount of new business continued to fall.
Purchasing managers reported "harsher business conditions" in March.
Meanwhile, a survey by business advisers BDO suggested the slowing services sector was "knocking the confidence" of Scottish firms.
It indicated that business optimism had hit its lowest level in more than two years.
The reports follow official figures released last week that showed growth in the Scottish economy all but stalled
in the last quarter of 2015.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. The cheap gas prices have hidden the real economic growth rate in the country. Soudi Arabia has increased production to bring down American fracking oil industries and also to create a monopoly among major oil producing OPEC members. The world gas prices are currently cheap due to lifting of American suctions on Iran. Iran produces 500,000 gallons a day. The picture I am painting here is supply and demand.The economists describe this as the higher the supply-the lower the cost; and the lower the supply-the higher the cost. When the OPEC countries begin to decrease oil production the cost will equally bump up. At this time Ghanaians will see inflation going up as well due to increase gas prices.
To me this is funny since his explanation of "economy turnaround" does not reflect any sector of the economy addressing daily suffering among Ghanaians.I am speaking as a nutral person but this government lacks vision and has misled Ghana. No proper and clear policies to addressing the public interest of concerns such as unemployment, lawlessness, rule of law, corruption, modenisation of urban areas including sanitation, national debt, health insurance, middle income group, electrification crisis-dumso, domistication, direction of future education, total poverty management, helping the elderly women/men, kids, pregnant women, orphans/education etc.
Any government in power without a clear cut-measured agenda for the above-mentioned is beating about the bush and does not deserve to be allowed to continue its mandate. May God help Ghana!!

Majority of the Ghanaian populace struggle on daily basis to even have something to eat or drink not forgetting other hardships we go through like driving on death trap roads,living in appalling conditions so it's very dishonest and disrespectful for a so called president to make such misleading statement.
