My big worry is that a handful of my people (Ghanaians) cannot read and understand to join me in selcting the BIG GENERAL Mosquito "THE MAN OF THE WEEK". Those who could read, understand and analyse will agree with me that ASIEDU Nketia deserves the "man of the week" award than any other person in Ghana. WHY MAN OF THE WEEK? The General made two speeches this week which are fantastic, "NPP PLOTTING TO RIG ELECTIONS and SACKING FULANIS WOULD MEAN SACKING BAWUMIA"S WIFE" Any body who can read, understand, and analyse things well would conclude that Asiedu Nketia doesn't understand the politics he plays. Judging from these two speeches, one would wonder how this baby mind guy managed to become the chairman General of such a great and ruling party like the NDC. No wonder NDC is INCOMPETENT. No wonder NDC is not perfoming, no wonder NDC is declining no wonder NDC is loosing and will be voted out. WHAT A CHAIRMAN!!

Point of correction Npp didn't boycott 3rd November 1992 presidential election but 28th December 1992 parliamentary elections by all the opposition parties.

The validation is a sin qua non for the upcoming elections. Indeed, after the register is thoroughly cleaned of Asiedu Nketia's mess which bloated the register into crassness, validation then ensues to farther fortify the register and make it approach credibility for the 2016 elections. Validation is an integral part of getting a credible voters register and also opening the doors very, very wide for Ghanaians to vote, to cast their ballot in a free, fair and transparent manner. Contrary to it disenfranchising any voter, it indeed, empowers the voter to do justice in the polling booth excellently on voting day and has nothing to do with a fresh register. So it is on course to be done firmly and definitely to protect the sanctity of the ballot as John Mahama is sent packing neatly and cleanly.
It should be done like already.

No NPP is not boycotting the elections since Akufo Addo is being sworn in by the CJ in the first week of January 2017. The register is however being cleaned thoroughly and the implementation of the validation exercise is already settled as one of the main features of the 2016 elections. John Mahama is losing neatly and cleanly and it would be painless.

In other countries, they send you letters every year to confirm whether one lives at the same address and sign to confirm you are on the register. The are checks throughout the year on the voters register. What is wrong with validation?? There should be an alloted time for checking the people on the register. It's done everywhere.
There should be jail time for people who double register and minors. That's is where the law should come in.

We want every to register, you can register twice or add ghost names. That should not matter to any party because we will know who ever is voting in your locality. Political Polling Agents should be honest and Ghana will never have vote rigging.

With the finding that the Register is bloated, the 5-member Panel set up by the EC examined ways in which the situation can be remedied. The Panel was unconvinced by the EC’s own plan to use the challenge procedures specified in CI 72. The Panel considered this approach as having been ineffective. This is what the report says on it:
“ Judging by the sheer numbers, the Electoral Commission's proposition to display the Register, with Political Party representatives, the Electoral Commission and citizenry to identify and point out invalid names, is not a viable approach. Particularly when the persons who identify these records are expected to expend their time, energy and resources not only to provide the evidence but also to testify before a court of competent jurisdiction. The efficacy of the current provisions may be assessed by the fact that in spite of this system having been in place, there were 8,000 registrants in 2014 who may have been minors on the list since 2012.
The report continued further:
“The signal is that the system is not effective in achieving the set goals of eliminating invalid records from the Register and must be reconsidered. It is said that you cannot do the same thing and expect different results.”
Charlotte Osei should not take the peace of this country for granted. Ghanaians are not morons.
