I wish to use this opportunity to educate the large propaganda following of the NDC and to give them some historical references. I guess they are ignorant about knowledge of good economic management. On the other hand they may be playing mischief for the sake of throwing dust into the eyes of our less educated brothers and sisters as well as our parents.
When the late President Mills was the President he appointed a very capable Minister of Finance in the person of Dr. Duffour and the current Vice President as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. Deliberate efforts were made by his Government to keep interest rates low, reduce inflation rate to single digit and a stable exchange rate. It was during this period that the phrase ‘’crowding out the private sector’’ was frequently used. The Government was circumspect with borrowing from the Money Market to ensure interest rates are kept low as possible. Was Seth Tekper not the Deputy Finance Minister at the time?
Does the propaganda machinery of the NDC and the current Government know how important it is to do this? Whiles Professor Mills Government was working feverishly to achieve these laudable economic objectives, the provision of physical infrastructure was going on. The Government knew the realization of the two conditions were imperative. Prof Mills as the President at the time used relatively small resources as compared to what is available to President Mahama now.
Then again during the tenure of President Kufour, late KwadwoBaahWiredu as Finance Minister and DrAcquah as Governor of the Central Bankworked at keeping low interest rates, low rate of inflation and stabilization of the exchange rate. This was another competent team by all standards. Do NDC propagandists know the reasons why all these were done?
If borrowing heavily for the sake of it was critical, these two sets of managers would have done it. They loved Ghana so much and were interested in accelerating the rate of Economic Development for the benefit of the citizens. The focus was not much on enriching themselves at the expense of the people through corruption.Does it really make sense for you to be told that roads, schools, hospitals and whatsoever have been provided when you don’t have job for that matter money to access all these things and to pursue your personal ambition?
There are two major reasons why the Mahama led administration resorted to heavy borrowing for the sake of providing physical infrastructure with little emphasis on economic development. First and foremost is for them to create the avenue to steal from the Nations Coffers. A lot of stealing by way of INFLATING CONTRACT COST in the provision of physical projects. There has not been VALUE FOR MONEY in the execution of contracts. The Government deliberately chose this path to enable it loot the Nations Coffers. Physical projects as stand alone havenever increased the rate of Economic Development. This was the reason none of the past Governments comprising very competent persons chose this path. Physical projects were provided alongside the prudent application of economic policies for the private sector to expand and create jobs for the youth. They were not self centered on corruption to enrich themselves.
The second reason was basically to stifle their main opponent, the NPP. The Government is aware NPP is a business friendly party and that if the business community does well they are very likely to support the NPP in terms of finance to enable NPP carry out their campaign and other political activities. The Government and the NDC had an agenda to immobilize the NPP.
President Mahama has been described as a Mogul and Colossus by his Deputy Power Minister. He knows what he was saying. President Mahama is the most dangerous person and not Nana AkufoAddo in present Ghana. I have the spirit to discern people and actions and it is no mince of words when I say the President should be looked carefully. The smiling face he puts on is a deception to disguise his evil thoughts. I have read several literature about leaders who behave as such. I won’t go far. Do people know how the late Emperor Haille Selasie of Ethiopia ascended the throne?
Very soon the NDC with the backing of the Government will go round and be sharing money to the people to vote for them. Having impoverished the people, any little money to the voter will make a big difference. The trick is to ask the beneficiaries to swear to vote for them.
I have been a student of Science and Business and one of my best subject as an Accounting student at the School of Administration was Business Policy and Strategic Management. No onecan take a student from this School for granted. It is one of the best schools in the whole world.
This country can develop well with the active participation of the private sector. This sector is more efficient, effective and innovative than the public sector. But what this Government has done is to turn things upside down because of corruption. Government is expected to provide the enabling environment for the private sector to generate the wealth the country requires. I am confident that an efficient Government with the enormous resources available to President Mahama could have delivered more worthy projects than we have seen.
The University of Ghana has been sitting on Ga lands; it does not mean the University is for Gas. Around the eighties, it was known that the student population in University of Ghana was dominated by Ewes. Why are we not saying that the student population should be dominated by Gas because the University is sitting on their land? Or why not say the student population in KNUST should be dominated by Ashantis? Building the University of Health and Allied Sciences in the Volta Region do not make Voltariansthe owners. Job provision by the University will be based on competence through interview and selection so Ewes have no advantage for having that University in the Volta Region.
It is those who don’t have good message for the people who invoke tribal sentiments in their discussions. One NDC parliamentarian who has been fond of making tribal comments is HonourableAgbodza representing the people of Adaklu. He is noted for making tribal comments whenever he is involved in political discussion. Recently on Good Morning Ghana, he did not understand why DrBawumia will expose foreigners from Togo on the electoral register. This tells much of his intellectual capacity or attempt to play on the tribal sentiments.
My COSTING Lecturer at the University tells me that whenever one is making a decision based on cost, it is reasonable to identify and analyze the cost element which is uncommon to the subject matter. If HonourableAgbodza was tasked to review the voters register which region’s register will he review first?
HonourableOkudzeto Deputy Educational Minister was also heard referring to the person who lost his eyes during the demonstration of LET MY VOTE COUNT as his brother because he comes from the Volta Region. Does Okudzeto feed this gentleman or He thinks every Ewe supports the NDC. This comment was also made on Good Morning Ghana.
It is sad that Ewes in the NDC like whipping tribal sentiment which I think is very unfortunate. Is it the lack of message for the people which make them engage in this?
I can say without any shred of doubt that if President Mahama were to be working for a corporate entity, he would have been relieved of his post as the CEO. But in the public sector as we have it, the Constitution guarantees him the four (4) years which he is about to complete. He is an evidence of incompetence and only taking advantage of his communication skills.
It is amusing that President Mahama is promising the people of Ghana Economic Development in his bid for a second term. He just wants to continue with his corruption and mismanagement. He cannot waste our time. We deserve better than what he has delivered compared to the amount of resources available to him.
After all the money used for the projects are not for him; they are for the people of Ghana. Government does not engage in business so do not generate revenue. Rather, we the people have been paying them for their mismanagement heaped on our heads.
I want to assure the people of Ghana that CORRUPTION will be a major issue because of its debilitating effect on us and it is a critical issue for discussion in this election as it was in the past. Our values have not changed at all.
I also want to use this fine opportunity to advise Ghanaians that our country is cash strapped so they must give NANA a one touch victory. A vote for NANA is a VOTE FOR BETTER GHANA that will offer economic prosperity to Ghanaians. We can’t waste the scarce resources in a round off. Let us save this country from further difficulty as we have been experiencing since 2013.
The people of Ghana should send a strong signal to politicians especially the President that his mandate can only be renewed on the basis of good performance and honesty.

If Mahama inherited a growth rate of 14 percent in 2012 from Mills, after they killed him and he has brought it to 3% because of poor management, then how can you say he hasn't ended his tenure so it will be well?

When he came on board, the guardian wished him well because Ghana was rising at above 7-8%. Since Kufours time, GDP Annual Growth Rate in Ghana averaged 7.20 percent from 2000 until Mills, reaching an all time high of 25 percent in the first quarter of 2012. K4 gave Mills good speed and baton. Mills kept the baton and run with it. But guess what; mahama came, had Mills killed to forcefully take the baton, and today today, 3%.

You started off with saying Rome wasn't built in a day but you forgot the 2nd half. Rome took years to actually build, and they built it step by step and strengthened it. When it burned, it was destroyed in only a few hours. It is harder to build something up than to destroy it. All it has taken is one NDC and Mahama Kronies, who have been utterly careless and saxicolous to destroy. They suffer from perfidiousness, and must think clearly before they act, so that they don't destroy years of achievements in one thoughtless parsimonious penultimate term. But its too late now.....

As far as Mahama is concerned, jobs have been created through the numerous infrastructure he has built like Osudoku Hospital and Kasoa interchange. Under Mahama the cedi has stabilize and is doing very well.
