Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year 2015,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.

“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.

“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

I don't blame him because nowadays our trained doctors proffer to go to TB Joshua for "blessed water" to treat their illness instead of relaying on their God given talents and skills to treat themselves and pray on their own to get well. I don't blame him because our former president Atta Mills allowed himself to be fooled by TB Joshua that he was going to be president. TB Joshua wasn't able to prophecies that he was going to die in 2012. I love what Rev. Dr. Frimpong Manso said the other day that we should not allow the nation's security situation to be run on the back of someone's prophecies. I wish that Dr. Manso should have been bold enough to say the plain truth that the nation's security matters should never be allowed to be dictated and managed by such BLIND PROPHETS. I am just sick and tied by our vision-less leaders who always trust themselves into quake bishops, ministers and prophets. Jesus said, "if a blind man leads a blind person, both run into a ditch." What is wrong with us as a country. Is it because we don't believe in ourselves or because we are lazy and afraid to read the scriptures ourselves? The country is sinking by the day into the abyss. Shame unto us! Please don't get me wrong, I strongly believe in God Almighty and trust in His only begotten Son, Jesus.
