Has the NDC government stopped engaging the Norwegians? The answer is a big NO. In fact, the laws governing our glowing oil prospects are a model of the Norwegian law governing theirs. So, what is this thief talking about? The engagement of Norway in the training of expertise in both our oil and gas is second to none.

So many students are gaining scholarships to go and study in Norway since the start of oil and gas on our shores than anywhere else. So, I would suggest to Mr. Kofi Adda to go get himself acquainted with the up-to-date progress on the ground, instead of his mischievous agenda which is not fooling any discerning soul.

We receive the following:

1) Royalty: 10%-12.5% payment to the state - negotiated percentage of gross production

2) carried interest: 10% -15% on commencement of production to GNPC

3) paying interest: 5%-15% GNPC right to acquire an additional percentage interest at declaration of commerciality

4) Petroleum income tax: obtained from Petroleum operations

5) additional oil entitlements: the AOE mexhanism is a means of automatically adjusting the governments fiscal take if contractor achieves higher than normal levels of profit.

Now people tell me since we did not spend a penny on exploration etc is this a bad deal for Ghana? This Dr does not know what he is talking about. Please people all the above is coming to Ghana so please tell me if it is a bad deal?

I cannot blame non-existing governments, or ones that were booted out by the electorate and even if I do, still, NDC will get a BIGGER share of the blame since that party has RULED Ghana the MOST than any other party. Right, or wrong? So your argument of sharing the problem with previous govt is not attracted to me. Is it to you?

Govts are kicked out to be replaced by another to solve problems the previous ones FAILED to solve. So if your argument is that, because the previous govt could not, or did not solve the problems, the current govt could not be blamed is likely unacceptable.

You argued that our oil agreement was the best. You gave figures to buttress benefits we accrue from the deal. The question is that, if we get that much, why did we make a U-turn to the IMF after Ghana parted with that International DEBT business company? At least, Ghana govt did something many countries of the world would be envious of: parting with IMF.

Let's stand up for Ghana, rather than party. Criticism are not as bad as people may perceive it to be, but in Ghana, unfortunately, it's seen as PERSONAL or PARTISAN. If we criticize for the abysmal job by ANY government, we're doing our civic duty: telling the govt we voted into power to be mindful of our national needs and be proactive. We should not trivialize every criticism.

For as long as there is oil in the ground, K4 and his two buddies will continue to get paid on all oil extracted in Ghana, monies that will end up in the pockets of K4 and these two men.

Now tell me; the one who pockets Ghana's oil money for their private use, or the one who sells the oil to develop Ghana, who actually is stealing from Ghana?

When these NPP guys talk about mortgaging Ghana's oil, I wonder who actually they think they are fooling.

The greatest crime ever committed against this nation is the reckless "sale" of our oil resources to Tullow for a pittance by the Kuffuor NPP goverment. They capped it up by stealing 3 percent of the resources and sold it out for a whooping 300 million cedis. Yet all our so called intellectuals, so called "men of God" like Otabil, hypocrits like Adda and the brain dead supporters of the NPP see nothing wrong. What is worse than this? Remember we were told the Jubilee house was to be built by the Idians with a grant of 36 million cedis but we ended up spending in excess of 100 million for that ugly structure; Ghana @ 50 was estimated at 20 million but we ended up spending in excess of 70 million. How come? Yet we are all quiet. Remenber their corrupt judges, most of who were exposed by Armiyaw, used technicalities to get them off the hook without touching on the substantive cases. God is watching, for the future of this country will be defined by our deeds.

The former supports our budget and the latter is heritage fund. Ghana only used the oil as a form of collateral against the CBD (Chinese loan) for 15 years. The gas project would pay for itself. This is not mortgaging for God sake. When you use a property as a collateral you don't lose it unless you default.

Was this sensible to effectively hand over our oil to a foreign company? Did it make sense to give Tullow a four-year tax holiday while including tax revenue for those four years in our budget? The worst part of it all is that this first contract has been a template for all subsequent contracts for oil and gas exploitation.

K4 and NPP parliamentary caucus have a lot to answer for.
