Why would I lose my vote just because I was unable to show up to confirm my name on the register? Recognizing how fundamental my vote is, the Constitution has not given the EC any right to delete a name from the electoral roll for any flimsy reason such as this outrageously crazy NPP argument.

I invite all voters to punish NPP for this anti-people idea. NPP members should defer their vote to 2020 when Alan takes the lead.

NPP should know by now that if the country wants a credible register for this year's election, new register is not an option. The best way forward is to review the existing one and that easy and cheaper.

-,it makes no sense for the President to appoint the EC.Ghana Constitution must be corrected to allow Parliament select,Screen and appoint the EC by Vote.The EC Must answer directly to Parliament.

But npp should beware that ec is doing this to while away time so that when the time is close, they will rush and do shabby work that will comprise quality work

The EC gave NPP the opportunity to prove their case at the 5 member panel.Bawumia said he has evidence of some 76000 Togolese on our biometric voters' register.Unfortunately,NPP could not prove it at the 5 member panel forum.In this case,you can't say the EC has rejected the NPP's call for a new register.It was rather the NPP that couldn't substantiate their case.By the way,validation is used for some expired documents.I don't think a bloated register means it has expired like a passport.I am only worried by how the exhibition will be done.I would like to know if registered voters will go through the Biometric Verification Device or not.Thank you.

Your comments do not make any sense. Bawumia directly accused the EC for using a Voters Register, which contains about 76,000 names of Togo nationals. It is for the EC to debunk this accusation. The EC should have challenged the NPP that it had wrongly accused a State Institution, for which there are dire consequences. The EC did not exercise any of these options. It chose rather to engage in theatrics, to hoodwink lesser minds in our society. Unfortunately, persons like you and others, out of dementia or deceit have fallen for the EC plan. Why should the panel of a committee, answer a straight forward issue put to the EC by the NPP?
Is the Voters Register bloated? The NPP says it is, included, are names of foreign nationals. The Ndc says it is and that there are over twenty thousand names, fraudulently inserted by the NPP in the Ashanti Region. The EC also, claims the Ashanti Region votes are over bloated by two hundred thousand votes. Therefore, all sides of the political equation accept one thing. A bloated register. How then will any sensible institute go about to cut back on the defects? What could be more effective than to have all persons whose names appear in the register go to re-register. Validation has suddenly become a scary word to the EC and some others. If the word is avoided we could all come to some agreement.

@ritewing yours is a rehash of LMVCA cacophony. What does the current CI for the coming election say? Likewise the CI it came to replace? Ghana has laws but it's citizens do not appraise themselves of same.
