  The Minority Leader must take the larger share of that responsibility. Naturally, it is the Opposition that probes such issues. In a better functioning Parliament, we would expect that both members on each side of the Aisle ...

  The Minority Leader must take the larger share of that responsibility. Naturally, it is the Opposition that probes such issues. In a better functioning Parliament, we would expect that both members on each side of the Aisle would show initiative in doing exactly that.
  
  But we see the lack of that responsibility as prominent among the Minority as well as the Majority. So, let the Opposition leader of Parliament blame himself first for that failure.
  
  It is not like that the Minority pushed for that effort and the Majority blocked it. Both sides of the Aisle are apathetic and all of the MPs are to blame. But I would blame the Minority more because it is the one that seems to be doing less of its responsibility in that regard.
  
  It is the Opposition that has to lead in checking what the incumbent Government does with our Money. That is where our Checks-and-Balancing strength preponderantly lies.

  ARE THE PARLIAMENTARIANS THERE TO TRULY REPRESENT THEIR CONSTITUENTS OR TO REPRESENT THEIR POLITICAL PARTIES? THE WORK OF OVERSIGHT FALLS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE. INFACT, IT IS THE MAJORITY THAT SHOULD BE DOING MORE TO KEEP THE EXECUTIVE IN LINE IN ORDER TO LET THE COUNTRY KNOW THAT THEY ARE FIT TO GOVERN. BUT IF THEIR JOB IS TO RUBBER STAMP EVERY PROPOSAL THAT THE EXECUTIVE BRINGS TO THE HOUSE, THEN THEY ARE A FAILURE IN MY EYES. OF COURSE, THE OPPOSITION IS TO OPPOSE AND SCRUTINIZE, BUT MORE IS EXPECTED FROM THE MAJORITY SIDE OF THE BENCH. THATS A MATURED PARLIAMENT THAT IS LOOKING OUT FOR THE FUTURE AND PROGRESS OF THE COUNTRY; A PARLIAMENT THAT ENSURES SOUND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF THE COUNTRY.
