If Mahama wants to win the elections, then the people must feel the need in their pockets, dining tables and bank accounts. You politicians don't pay for fuel so almost everyone of you drives a V6 or V8. Observers are watching.

President Mahama has chastised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not selecting a competent northerner as its flagbearer.

Citing an example of former Vice President Ahaji Aliu Mahama, President Mahama accused the NPP for paying little attention to northerners.

According to him, the NPP has shown in the past that it has very little respect for northerners and therefore cannot be trusted.

The President made the remarks in Tongo when he resumed his camping tour of the Upper East region after suspending it for three days to attend to the victims of the Melcom disaster in Accra.

He said “our brother Aliu Mahama was Vice President for 8 years. I was Vice President for 3 and half years. For almost 12 years, we have tasted Vice Presidency. It’s no longer exciting. It’s no longer what we want.”

He said if the NPP wants votes from the northern part of the country, then they should put up Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as their flagbearer to face-off with him.

“They want to win here, they should put him in number one and let two of us contest and then they will get something from here,” the president said.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has described the defeat of the republicans in the US elections as a good omen for the ruling NDC and an indication that similar thing will be replicated in Ghana in the upcoming elections.

According to him, anytime the democrat party win an election in the US, the NDC also wins in Ghana, making reference to the 2008 elections.

He said: “In 2008 polls in the USA, Obama won by chasing the elephant into the bush and later the NDC also chased the elephant into the bush in Ghana, and just this week, Obama has again chased the elephant into the bush, which will be replicated in Ghana in December.”

He said the performance of the NDC government in the last four years is enough evidence to encourage more Ghanaians to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming elections.

President Mahama said inspite of the increase in wage bills as a result of the implementation of the single spine salary structure, government is still economically solid to execute more development projects in the phase two of the Better Ghana Agenda.

Besides Koku makes some very irrational and rather schizophrenic argument in threatening and intimidating their own members now to support failed John Mahama, by saying for an election that John Mahama has lost, at all cost including the threats, non-existent support should be garnered so Akufo Addo and the NPP incoming gov't do not take credit for some foundation he, John Mahama has laid. That foundation Koku alludes to, if any, will be interrogated considering the colossal amount from just contracted loans alone, that John Dramani Mahama has contracted which is greater than all govts from 1957 to 2008 combined. But going back to the original argument Koku makes, were what he is threatening their own party members to hold, then in 2008, the NPP should never have handed over power to the NDC, because the foundation the NPP had laid, had seen a consistent and persistent growth trajectory of over 8% with respect to GDP, with concrete plans for an oil and gas industry and energy sufficiency, cocoa production, health, education, etc, etc, an achievement John Dramani Mahama's administration can say the same for.
So on what basis therefore does Koku begin to make his infantile and putrid argument and begin to threaten anybody including opposition leaders, Ghanaians and even their own members and officials to support the failed John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't?
It is very clear Koku Anyidoho is hugely challenged but he and John Dramani Mahama must begun to reassess their threats, intimidatory tactics or outright impunity and brigandry that has claimed the life of a member of Ghana's legislature, in their failed attempt to force, coerce, intimidate and threaten anybody in this country to support his failed, incompetent, corrupt, and stealing NDC gov't which has collapsed this country.
Let's be very clear and let's understand this, that the failed John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't cannot intimidate and threaten its way into the presidency. He has failed and failed dangerously and Ghanaians insist he must and will go. That is a fact Ghanaians can promise him in this country.

There we go again: This Koku Anyidoho has twisted behaviour in the likeness of a FOOL. He doesn't even realize that what he just said is a THREAT in a democracy: Poor thing. In the first place, if the so called "massive Projects" the NDC govt has done is not confined in a room, but in the open across the country, why the need of the govt appointees, including Pres Mahama himself leaving his work behind and traveling unnecessarily across the country just to "unveil" or "expose" them before the people can SEE? Two things are implied here: Either the people are BLIND or the Projects are HIDDEN, otherwise why do people need HELP from the President in order to SEE projects which are "MASSIVE"? The last time I checked, something "massive" means HUGE which can't be missed by the EYES.

Second, even if there are "projects" done by the govt, it should not be considered as NDC projects BUT govt of Ghana's, made possible by REVENUES payed by the people of which 75% were squandered anyway, by way of BLOATED budgets.

This kind of Koku Anyidoho's cadres and militant approach by way of threat and disrespect of the opposition leadership MUST be checked. If he has some commonsense left in his mind, he would have realized that Nana Akufo Addo who he INSULTS everyday has a HUGE following and the followers share those INSULTS. He could be STOPPED, but not on his TERMS, but their OWN terms.

The so called Flag staff House otherwise known as Jubilee House by the previous govt, was BUILT during the time of the NPP. Will it be appropriate for the NPP to claim they "built" a Presidential Palace for NDC, instead of for Ghana especially when Kuffour who saw its completion NEVER got to live there?

Koku Anyidoho, you better stop this twisted way of doing politics in a democracy. If you do NOT know much about DEMOCRACY and RULE of LAW, get some counseling and STOP your IDIOTIC rhetoric, because if you're met half-way you cannot handle it.
