Although, my recent trip back home wasn’t a happy one since I was there to see the “home going” of a beloved friend (JB) whom I called a brother, my experience this time was regarded as a spiritual realm of evil and suffering.

Ghana under this President is depicted as a place of perpetual fire beneath the earth where incompetency glares at you fiercely the moment you disembarked from your rather ten hours plus non-stop flight.

A visit to the Volta Region to see the in-laws shows how perdition the situation is, no amount of monies or gifts at my disposal can help the needy. However, this is where the Government claims it is its vote harvesting place. As an old friend who accompanied on this trip rightly put it this is Hades, an abode of the spirits of the dead.

In the last few years we have seen a major decline in economic growth, when we found oil and due to the oil discovery, GDP growth hit 15%. Today growth has slumped to 3.5%. Behind these numbers is an even more worrying development because in a country like Ghana, you expect to see Agriculture doing well at the very least. “However, Agriculture is almost collapsing. Agric which should be the backbone of the economy is growing at 0.04% as at 2015. Manufacturing growth has also been in the negative for the last 3 years – negative 0.5% in 2013, negative 0.8% in 2014 and negative 2% in 2015. So Agric is collapsing and manufacturing is in the negative and yet our President wants to tell us that our economy is resilient. “Now I don’t understand what resilient means in this context when you look at all the indicators. How can unemployment be increasing, growth be declining, interest rates be high and rising, your debt levels be unsustainable, your health services are deteriorating, you cannot pay teacher training allowances, you cannot pay nursing training allowances, you cannot pay contractors, businesses are collapsing, utility prices are sky rocketing and yet you are claiming that the economy is resilient? This President is clearly out of touch,” the former deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana said. Dr. Bawumia also mentioned the steep fall of the cedi, which was now hovering around 4 cedis to a dollar, after depreciating from GHC1.2 to a dollar in 2009, the four-year ‘dumsor’ scourge and the government’s unbridled borrowing and resort to high taxes, which had killed many businesses and made production in Ghana unattractive

Simple put NDC is incompetent and has for the long time taken the poor folk in the Volta Region for a free ride. This is what cannot be hidden from the truth.

Please, be aware that I have not shone away from this site of marrying the man whom I love dearly. I did not marry him for the twenty –five with three kids because he is from the Volta Region, I marry him because he is a Ghanaian with integrity more than you, because if you any integrity within you will never have gone there.

This justifies how strange most of you have become on this site. It is on this particular note that I called you a liar. Why? Well, your in-laws could not be residing in the WHOLE of the Volta Region hence my simple question. However, you ignorantly went tribal on the mere fact that I mentioned Volta and not so much over challenging you to the specifics. How worrisome!

Obaa, I am not even from Volta Region, but from Central Region instead and hate the tribal sentiments often played in here since my ancestral home is a mixture of Fantis, Gas and Brongs. Two of my best friends are Ewes. So, why must I go playing tribal gimmick with anybody on this site?

President Mahama has chastised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not selecting a competent northerner as its flagbearer.

Citing an example of former Vice President Ahaji Aliu Mahama, President Mahama accused the NPP for paying little attention to northerners.

According to him, the NPP has shown in the past that it has very little respect for northerners and therefore cannot be trusted.

The President made the remarks in Tongo when he resumed his camping tour of the Upper East region after suspending it for three days to attend to the victims of the Melcom disaster in Accra.

He said “our brother Aliu Mahama was Vice President for 8 years. I was Vice President for 3 and half years. For almost 12 years, we have tasted Vice Presidency. It’s no longer exciting. It’s no longer what we want.”

He said if the NPP wants votes from the northern part of the country, then they should put up Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as their flagbearer to face-off with him.

“They want to win here, they should put him in number one and let two of us contest and then they will get something from here,” the president said.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has described the defeat of the republicans in the US elections as a good omen for the ruling NDC and an indication that similar thing will be replicated in Ghana in the upcoming elections.

According to him, anytime the democrat party win an election in the US, the NDC also wins in Ghana, making reference to the 2008 elections.

He said: “In 2008 polls in the USA, Obama won by chasing the elephant into the bush and later the NDC also chased the elephant into the bush in Ghana, and just this week, Obama has again chased the elephant into the bush, which will be replicated in Ghana in December.”

He said the performance of the NDC government in the last four years is enough evidence to encourage more Ghanaians to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming elections.

President Mahama said inspite of the increase in wage bills as a result of the implementation of the single spine salary structure, government is still economically solid to execute more development projects in the phase two of the Better Ghana Agenda.

In effect they can expanded their businesses and employ more hands. Available data from SSNIT indicates that between 2009 and May 2015, a total of 364,665 new workers were registered by 19,032 new private businesses.An indication that more jobs are being created under the NDC. The integrity of the president is unquestionable and this is the more reason why the NDC will still retain power come November 2016.He is certainly #Transforming Ghana through the various developmental projects such as the construction of 123 Community Day SHS across the country will provide space for the admission of about 400,000 additional students. His administration has also saved the country millions of cedis by removing over 35,000 ghost names on the pay roll of the NSS. Thus under JDM we now have more resources to build more hospitals and schools

Simply the NDC has initiated programs such as the police visibility module which has helped to reduce crime rate by over 5000 between 2013 and 2015. He is a president who cares about the safety and security of the people.
The only "SAKAWA" a.k.a 419 people in Ghana at the moment are in the NPP since they have no plans and message for Ghanaians.

Nevertheless over 600 artisans are also working on the kasoa and circle interchange as directed by President Mahama. The lies you keep peddling won't bring the NPP back to power ok because Ghanaians know "Dumsor" is a thing of the past and currently the 180MW Sunon Asogli Phase II has come on stream through the hard work of the NDC and President Mahama. It is an open secret that the Operators of the Gyeeda and Sada module have also refunded all monies due the state and the Attorney General has confirmed. In addition, the NDC will be win the polls free and fairly without any hindrance. The NPP must rather take a cue from the NDC and start training its polling agents and Dr bawumia so that they don't end up committing more blunders like they did in 2012 by saying "YOU AND I WERE NOT THERE." Moreover, a team of observers across the globe will be here to monitor the elections and declare JDM winner.

Prez Mahama is making tremendous use of the country's limited resources because Under his leadership,the nation has witnessed a great and terrific improvement.Recently,he inaugurated cold stores in the Western Region for the fisher folks to preserve the catch if they are not able to sell all of them and also opened the Sunon Asogli Power Plant Plhase ll at kpone in Tema which will add 180 megawatts of power to the national grid.This is an indication that he's managing our scare resources effectively.

You and your cronies have looted our treasury for the past eight years and to add salt into injury you have embarked on this wasteful venture, termed accounting tour. Meanwhile unemployment is of a high level, educational system is collapsing - those who can't afford to send their children to private schools are being left behind the climb of the higher mobility ladder, health care system is gradually being grounded; businesses are collapsing due lack of consistent power supply as well as high interest rate.
Let me be frank with you, apart from some of your party members and your cronies, Ghanaians are not feeling your so called better Ghana agenda.

Mahama, there is no need going round to give account to anyone from region to region. If it is indeed that you have undertaken all those projects, you should understand that you are not doing the nation and its people any FAVOR. It is you job to do what you are supposed to do and the money used to do these projects does not COME FROM YOUR POCKET. The money belongs to the people and if again it is true that you have undertaken those projects, it is there for them to see, you do not have to go round to show anyone anything. Again you are not doing anyone any favor, it is your job and that is why the voted for you to do so if again you have done it, there is no credit to you because every government that comes to power builds roads, schools, hospitals, markets, KPIVs and the rest and it is no news if you are also continue. What is important is how the economy has been ran. There are no jobs for the youth, prices of goods are skyrocketing, power crisis is a mess, corruption continues unabated, lies all over, deceit, favoritism, nepotism, harassment of political opponents and what nots, that is what we Ghanaians are concerned; not developments only. Time will tell.
