Irresponsible parenting is what is causing all these problems. Why will a student refuse to write her index number? If she didn't want her paper marked she had no business in the exam hall. Some of these students are so disrespectful. I don't blame them as they hear their irresponsible parents insulting teachers all the time. They won't pay fees and they encourage their children to create all manner of problems. Invigilator, don't slap anybody as that is not one of the duties you have to carry out. Be patient as some of these students are evil

If a candidate does not write index number or question number at the back of an answer booklet, she does not need to be slapped. She may have forgotten due to exams tension therefore the should have drawn her attention to it ...

Teachers should be very careful about the pupils or students they are handling.

There is no where in code of conduct of teachers was it said a student should be subjected such brutality when found cheating in an exam room let alone slapping a student for not writing his or her on exam booklet And for the records those dummies who are struggle very hard to make us believe that the abused girl was caught cheating must bury their heads in shame. We should not lose focus of the fact that, this is waec sanctioned exams and whatever sanction that will be visited on any defaulter is done by waec in consultation with GES but not any individual invigilator or teacher. Let's not forget that the student in question was not caught in exam malpractice. Now the question is, why the slap? Student not writing her name on exam booklet, how does that affect the family, the job and the life of rambunctious cross dressing slap happy good for nothing dangling dimwit of invigilator ? So if the invigilator cannot draw the attention of the student to the fact that she has forgotten write her name on exam booklet, then slap is definitely not the way forward.So I think the tide of verbal diarrhea being spewed on this innocent girl is neither here nor there.

The formal assistant headmaster was found of doing that, I don't know if he is still ther ( mr Kofi neku) but I don't think the student will deliberately refuse to write his or her index number.
