There feverish talk in NDC circles for Nana Konadu to partner Prof. Mills to challenge former President Kufuor if she so wished. Instead of being truthful with herself and grab that honour being bestowed on her because of her husband, she pretended she was not interested. She was rather reluctantly proposing Lady Betty Idirisu whom she well knew was not the preference at the time.

The people then turned to John Mahama (remember the episode of Mahama refusing to see former President Rawlings who had by then served his full two terms). Konadu was then not bold enough to declare her interest in the presidency at that time. She however, never forgave President Mills and his vice for depriving her of secret ambitions.

That hatred run through Mills residency till he was openly challenged in Sunyani against all party protocols. Now look at her, she thinks the likes of Owusu Bempah and this Bediako can get her the presidency. Very sorry.

The boat left the port long time ago. The only viable alternative left for her is to retrace her steps back to the party that was built around her beloved husband, President Rawlings. There, she stands a much better chance of realizing her dream. NDP is only a joke and a lost course.
