For the first time in my life, I've never seen any place in the world with so many female Trotro mates{Aplanke)like we have today in Kumasi. I also saw a few female shoeshine girls for the first time in my life. The women can't get a job and no bank would give them a loan to start trading with. I can see more women armed robbers in the future if this hard economic trend continues. Ashanti Region is getting overpopulated with too many non-Ashantis who are unemployed. With so many petty businesses throughout the Region and not enough security, that Region is vulnerable to armed robbers.

Ashanti Region is more populated comparatively to Tokyo, New York, and Shanghai.

Turning things inside out, looks like there are more citizens of almost every country in the USA (in exception of the Gulf States) than there are US citizens in those countries yet the Americans never complained but for illegal immigration.

When one is clueless, they have nothing constructive to say than blame their impotence and lack of foresight on others.

Who are those who are the most caught in armed robbery in Accra? Where do they come from? Hardly do we note the involvement of Gas in thoses robberies.

If you don't want people from other Regions to share, just tell them to go home. Simple, case close.

Rawlings was getting them killed without judgmemt since the day police had a lengthy shoutout with Red and his company in Tema. That was during AFRC time. From then, the armed robbers knew that there was no negotiation for them if they were caught.

Armed robbers need to be shot, period.

I'm always elated when banks are robbed! Banks have been robbing people all the time. The money taken away by the robbers will be refunded by the bank's insurers, so no big deal. I wish the guy who was shot a speedy recovery.

The numerous armed robberies in the country can be stopped but, it seems the security agencies & the Ghana Police service are not prepared to take on the matter as urgent. They regard it as one of those minor criminal cases, and till someone is caught red handed, they are no priority cases and causes for alarm. Rawlings dealt with the issue before it could escalate, and when he got out of office, the whole saga commenced, and in my opinion, is almost getting out of hand. Some police, military and security personals are involved in the armed robberies in the country.
