  The first step in establishing a sugar factory is to ensure, or be sure of, the availability of the main raw material, SUGARCANE. The cart is clearly before the horse in the case of the Komenda Sugar Factory, a typical case of Mahanomics. Good luck in the search for adequate supplies of sugarcane to feed the already completed sugar factory.

  No the cart is NOT before the horse. If you have followed the project form start you will recall arrangement have been made for the supply of sugar cane. According to the story, the company have already advanced money to farmers ahead of commissioning. This call for other farmers in my view is of two folds:
  1. Setting the pricing framework to attract more farmers (clear growth opportunity).
  2. Setting the framework for catchment area of interest.
  
  This is an opportunity that should be taken advantage from. Let us not wish ill for the company.

  What comes first - factory or sugarcane and of what type? Too quick to claim credit leads to poverty of thought and in the end expensive projects with low value.

  Komenda sugar factory was in operation during Nkrumah's era ,first sugar cane farms was encouraged way before assembled machines.little mahama want some credit for votes,good bye mahama see at mole junction

  Sugarcane juice can be imported from Brazil very cheaply and processed into sugar for consumption. And Brazil is not very far across the sea from Ghana.

  Folks,President John Dramani Mahama Administration has been one again exposed over bloated inflated cost of the Komenda sugar factory.Three day ago we were told that Komenda Sugar factory cause tax payers $339 million dollars and today they said is no longer $339 million but it is $35 million.Frankly speaking President John Dramani Mahama and NDC are unpatriotic thiefs.No wonder he is tell his appointee to perfect the skill of steal state money.

  Typical ghanaian metality! We criticize everything and never suggest or give alternatives. Whether you are right or wrong is not the cause of criticism , but rather which political party you belong to! If you don't do anything , they say heeeeei, if you do something , the also say heeeeei. Their only problem is you are alive and kicking, even that , they pronounce you dead with the hope that you will say something to make them insult or criticize you!Ghanaians are always looking for somebody to criticize and insult apart from themselves! In the long run it turns out that those without any clue about what they are talking about make the most "unfortunate" comments and criticisms.It seems mirrors are very rare in Ghana, can we look ourselves in the face and make such comments and criticisms???
