People from the Volta Region may not be completely innocent, but as a neutral observer of Ghanaian attitudes and cultural differences, I believe that Ewes are almost always on the defensive about their ethnicity and merging with the other ethnic groups. The former president got it all wrong,it was the same Akuffo Addo who stripped him of his privileges and had to be travelling using the areas reserved for we the ordinary people,it was the same man who masterminded the harassment on him and the wife for almost the entire period NPP was in power,it was the same man whose bodyguards violently pushed Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings in Manhyia Palace during one of the Akwasidae festivals in 2008,we have not forgotten.
Dzifa mentioning his name was not a wrong thing to do,it is true that he is the Founder of the party and many people still vote for the party because of him,not only in the Volta Region but throughout the country.

JJ must not play to the gallery, the NPP has and would never forgive him, no matter how he praises some NDC members. Tribalism is real in Ghana's politics. It is more pronounced in NPP than other parties. Some of us give credit to Rawlings for bringing together Minority tribes and giving them a voice in Ghana's politics, resulting in the election of two Presidents, against an Ashanti hegemon led by Nana Addo. The records are there. That is what Dzifa was only citing examples.

For instant when NPP took office in 2001 to 2008, the first thing Kufuor and NPP government including Nana Addo did was to destroy Ghana Airways Airlines cooperation which had operated more than fifty years with the all trained Ghanaian engineers, pilots, stewards and air hostesses bringing in foreign currencies to boost Ghana economy. Also Kufuor and NPP government including Nana Addo sold the Ghana telecommunications to the Vodafones and shared the money among themselves before leaving office with impunity. Above all Kufuor and the NPP government including Nana Addo left the country's roads, streets and fly-overs dusty and uncompleted despite the loan given by the Chinese for the project. All these roads ,streets and fly-overs have been completed by Mahama and the NDC government since coming in power in 2010 without selling any national scientific base such airlines or Ghana telecommunications. If such people were not imprisoned then I wonder why people like Acheampong, Afrifah and Kotoka were killed by the military tribunal including Jerry Rawlings.

So soon Rawlings and Konadu have forgotten what they suffered at the hands of the NPP; the withdrawal of diplomatic protocols, the harassment by the BNI, and the persecution of key members of his administration, the insults hauled at him and his households.

In fact, the main reason that Rawlings himself cited for his bitter quarrels with the late Atta Mills was that Mills refused to prosecute NPP members for all kinds of economic crimes and malfeasance. Yep, that is Rawlings for you, folks. Today, he is in bed with the NPP to dethrone Mahama because the NDC will not entertain his wife's nonsense and also his own inability to take over control of the NDC.

Rawlings himself has forgotten what he suffered at the hands of the followers of the NPP. He has forgotten the derogatory names that he was called by the NPP and its followers. The man has forgotten. "Ashawo ba", that he was not a Ghanaian, "Akonta ber se fom", "Akonta be ko", "Ye ji ye mai", and so on and so forth. He has forgotten everything.

NDC must be very careful. There is a secret agenda by Rawlings and his wife to take back control of the NDC.

The duo has seen how the NPP has slipped from the hands of Ashantis into the hands of Akyems and how that Ashanti-Akyem schism is destroying the NPP. JJ and the wife wants the NDC to lose the 2016 election, go into opposition and that will give them (JJ & wife) the chance to take over the party once again.

This is what the whole Rawlings game plan is about. By promoting Akufo Addo to win over Mahama, JJ is preparing the grounds to take control over the NDC. That is his NDC's "Agenda 2020" equivalence.

Only fools fail to read into what is influencing his vitriol against his own NDC. If your brain is up to the task, you will understand what is going on. Rawlings wants to see the NDC defeated so that he can take "his" party back.

He has betrayed all those who laid down their lives for the cause of the revolution that Akuffo Addo and his clique sought to denigrade. We sacrificed our education and those of our children only for JJ to send his children to acquire the best of education. Amartey Quaye sacrificed his life for a crime well orchestrated and directed by Nana Konadu Agyemeng Rawlings. Afari Kuta died defending Rawlings and his Revolution. Go see how his family is today! and Rawlings has the audacity to insult us by allowing his wife to insult our intelligence. Every NDC member knows that JJR does not like our president, and that if he JJR is not incharge and his wife cannot be incharge, then it is better to have the NPP win the elections. God is watching. JJ will eventually lose it all and the NPP will surely discard him like a piece of rag. What type of person is it that JJ is such that he has lost all his friends, right from those who defended him during the May 15 1979 trial through to this time? and so it is with Konadu. Are they the wisest and cleaners individuals ever created in our country? Where did the Nsawan cannery and several acres of land, GREL, and all the other acquisitions come from?
