With the sophisticated voting machines and verification of all tallied results coupled with election officers of the various parties having a paper or hard copy of the results from their various polling stations, why is it not possible for the EC to transmit the results with their own staff and computers.

EC should train the election officers to do Data Entry and subsequent transmission of the collated results from the various polling stations.

No need to hire a third party to transmit the results to a central EC database. It is just another avenue to waste money and possibly rig the election.

One thing though, must be clear to the Mrs. Charlotte Osei and her bogus, untrustworthy outfit, that every polling centre in the country will count and keep records of the results. So there will be no room for any false declaration of election results, to help John Mahama and his dubious NDC gov't to rig the elections.

Why not give this job to the NPP to set their hearts at ease?
In processing the 2012 election results, the NPP made the wild allegation that, electoral results were being altered while being transmitted from the polling stations. It was as if the NPP lost their minds entirely. This was the reason they mobilized their supporters to ransack the premises of STL.
Fact is, our electoral process is so transparent that any mistake whether inadvertent or deliberate can be corrected at any level. Apart from the EC's officials and the many observers both local and international, each of the parties and independent candidates have their agents at the polling stations. Votes are counted in public loudly to the heating of all present. The final count figures are recorded, signed and their copies given to the agents. What the EC does after this is to collate these polling station results into constituency results for the parliamentary and national results for the presidential. Any serious party can also do their parallel collation. For the NPP to even imagine that the polling station results are altered while being transmitted shows how ignorant they are.
It takes someone whose brain is still in the stone age to think that when a data is being transmitted by fax, it can be altered in transit. This is because, a fax is just a photocopy of the original data except that it is delivered across a distance.
It is good the EC is publicly looking for a company to perform this transmission job. The should even go a step further to let the NPP recommend the bid to accept.
